DokoDemoDoa Scans Sucks...

I cannot even begin to comprehend why on earth a scanlation group would do something so annoying. Its as if they dont want anyone to like them. Their enormous watermark covers half of each page and makes it impossible to read anything on that half of the page. Someone else seriously needs to pick up this series instead of them.

Okay what if another group starts to scan-late it from the very first chapter?
I checked their site(DDD site) and they still have this title in their current project list. But i have an idea that a new group wants to pick it up... will the readers be interested?

The plot is interesting and the art is good, but i can´t stand the scanlation group watermark that covers almost the whole page. This is how a scanlation group ruins a good manga.

Im dropping this manga until some other scanlation group pick up this manga.

Just as a warning, the group scanning this puts a gigantic mark on each page that seems to block more and more with each chapter release. It frequently covers faces, and in recent chapters (4 and 5) it covers a lot of speech bubbles too. The series itself seems just fine, and the art is probably good (hard to tell behind the mark), but I dropped this series because of the scanlation group's mark on each page.

It's a nice series and all, and the art is more than decent. Like everyone else though, I can't stand the scanlation group. The watermark, like the other comments said, were always a nuisance, but they did not get incredibly bad until after the first 1-3 chapters. The watermark covers basically 1/3 of the page, and blocks their faces and some speech bubbles. Sure, some may say that the art isn't important but the facial expressions of the characters help develop the plot without having to inquire speech. I pretty much have not seen the guy's face in the whole chapter because of the watermark. It's ridiculous. Of course we are all grateful for this group's hard work in scanlating, but this is just too far. If they want so much recognition that they would feel the need to slap a big fat watermark on each page, there is definitely an issue there. Sure, everyone is afraid of having their work claimed by someone else - but it's the internet, it can happen anyways no matter what you do to try and stop it.
Sorry for the long comment and all, but I've had it with this group, honestly. Maybe one day I will pick up this project again, but not anytime soon.

It seemes that the scanlator dropped their projects which include this one.
Under some circumstances, DDD is now a private scanlation group, which means, apart from our joint projects, all the current projects cannot be accessed on the main site. And there will no longer be a special release day anymore either.
from the group

Not only they left their chapters with huge watermarks, but they also dropped the series and made them unavailable.... -.-' i want to insult them badly

At first it wasn't that bad, but it just kept getting bigger and darker, and placed in places where faces were blocked and nearly 1/3 of the page is covered.

Are you kidding me? This manga looks like it will be good. But I'm not going to bother reading it, because that water mark is just waaaaaay too annoying. I mean seriously? That big? Did they do it on purpose to be extremely annoying? I know now not to read any of Doko Demo Doa's projects.

Your usual shoujo flavor but with better lead characters

High school romances in shoujo manga usually have the mix of being anxious about confessing, being nervous about first dates and physical contacts, dealing with differences in character, and stressing over a third party. This manga has all of those elements but they were presented to the reader in the most endearing ways possible. I never thought I'd root for a shoujo heroine that is so persistent! It's all thanks to Nanase being candid and strong-willed that she's a cut above the typical shoujo heroines along with Kyoko of the manga Horimiya. Even the male lead Hana-kun is lovable because he's not the usual jerk that most shoujo love interests are despite him being a school delinquent.

This manga's selling point are really the lead characters. Thank goodness for a female lead who is determined but not desperate, and a love interest who is too cool for school but not a douchebag. I even admire the fact that the depiction of Nanase as a smart girl does not only depend on her getting good grades.

Oh, and you should see how unrequited love is played out here. The instances of acceptance and rejection are with good reason, and not at all melodramatic. Though I admit the amount of honesty in this manga may appear too good to be true sometimes. Then again, being direct is better than beating around the bush. It makes the story development appear smoother.

I recommend this to those who loved Horimiya. You'd be missing out on a good shoujo if you don't get to read this.

Sakashita Nanase is different than your usual shoujo protagonists. She is smart and beautiful, takane no hana, which are normally the traits of rival character. Yet even if she's perfect, rather than invoking jealousy of the readers, she gains our sympathy and retains the likeability of a main character.

K No. Cannot take the watermark anymore. Can't even see the art well nor the translation for that matter. Im not even gonna bother continuing reading this. I might give it another chance if another scanlating group picks this up though.
