Takayuki was already sleazy in the prequel but man, this just went to rape territory pretty fast with no repercussions. Also had the audacity to use emotional blackmail to the victim. That girl should've stuck with them and protected Kiyotake.

I actually like almost all characters in this series and I think sensei did a good job in terms of writing them. I just wish the story here was as well developed. As a big fan of the prequel, it couldn't be helped that this sequel fell a bit short for me. It's too rushed at times, and underdeveloped at other instances. Kiyotake was greatly underwhelming as a main character. The emotional buildup also isn't as satisfying as promised by the premise. I guess it just didn't turn out the way I had expected, and this somehow interfered with my perception of it.

I DON'T PUT UP WITH RAPE BUT WHY DO I LOVE THIS? DAMMIT I SHOULD BE HATING THIS BECAUSE OF THE UKE BUT!!!! AND HIS LAST THOUGHT IN CHAP4!!! I don't really like Ogawa-sensei's manga, except for this T_T

Again, why must Chise-sensei resort to rape or rapey scenes? This is seriously the only problem that I have with her work, and what's even more annoying is that it is justified within the manga universe and no one at all seems to care. In fact it's a good thing. And as I continue reading I get lost myself and feel like none of it ever happened. Structural amnesia.
Another minor problem for me is that Kiyotake's character is not developed. Would he just sleep with anyone who professes love for him? Why does he accept Takayuki's feelings for him? Chase after him? So many things left unresolved. I don't have any problem with this kind of characterization but it needs to be brought of and shown.
But I still love this for some reason; the fluffy element over shadows and embraces everything. That's why I am rating this 8. Also, because of my love for the tried and tired trope of unrequited love being filled and a super shy uke who, to quote Chise-sensei in the extra, "basically acts like a virgin".

i started to read this thinking of how i dont remember what was the manga Gosan no heart, about....
anyway, this was an awesome story!!! i loved it so much!! i loved Takayuki from the beginning!! i loved how the story went, how he changed his view and wished everyone happiness at the end!! *almost crying* it was all so adorable and touching!!! damn such a good manga, i want more of these two!!!! I NEED MORE OF THIS COUPLE~~~ <3
i love the art, handsome charas who make u all doki-doki, and i like the mangaka too~

This story is entertaining. It's not dark&angsty like the most of the Chise's works but in a way it's bittersweet. Takayuki with his feelings was going up and down, like on a roller coaster, it's been causing changes in his appearance, behaviour and the way of thinking. He's been hopelessly in love for 8 years. Handsome, classy, caring, hardworking but also shy, fickle, proud and stuck-up. It's so rare for me to take a liking on a fake character but now I'm attached to him. Kiyotake on the other hand is bright, cheerful, good-hearted. In general the characters are really likeable and real life like; their actions and dialogues aren't predictable (I really like that) honestly the whole thing between those two guys went kind of unexpected. The story has a good plot and execution and also the background (not to mention it's a continuation of Gosan no Heart). There's good but subtle sense of humour and the art is excellent. Especially when it comes to their expressive eyes and of course hot&filthy sex scenes (the best of them were in extra chapters and doujinshi Gosan de Fukou na Gojitsudan). There's plenty of good points but I'll stop pointing them here. It's simply worth to read so enjoy!

About translation mistakes - I noticed a few but it has nothing to do with the mangaka and the actual work's quality. It is wierd to judge the book by the translator's mistakes...

I don’t condone the reverse rape that happened in the beginning. It was wrong, the reason he did it for was wrong and you can feel the pain that he went through while and after he did it. He broke my heart.
Now, I’m not too sure about how I feel about Kiyotake. Until now I don’t see him as a strong character compared to Takayuki but that’s maybe because we didn’t have enough focus on him in the manga yet.
I will come back and update both my review and maybe score when this is over and I had enough time to reflect.
Meanwhile, I’ll give this a 10 for the character of Takayuki.

Ogawa-sensei is one of my favourite mangaka, but this was by far her worst work.
What the hell was with that apology rape? To heck with that. Argh, and it was so poorly written. They have no chemistry and you have no idea why they even like each other.

I love this, except for the rape at the beginning. I can really feel the guy's pain, though, to be in an unrequited love with a "straight" guy. I can't wait for the next chapters! I've already reread this like three times.
