GETS WORST

Honestly, this starts out really well. It seem in the beginning to have a potentially great plot and characters. But as you keeping on reading the chapters that amazingness you first saw in the beginning begins to disappear and the next thing, you know, your just reading this to read. It seems like the story is not even a coherent story anymore, but really just a bunch of really well drawn fight scenes and some cheeses parts where there is some moral lesson that appear out of no where. All in all read at your on risk. I'll keep reading till I can't take it anymore, so...

it gets better

I love this manhwa! Some people complain about the plot and I get it. People drop dead and there's this weird magic. You're not sure what's going on, but that's part of the fun since you're going from the tournament fight's POV. The explanation does come later (not all of it, of course) and it blows you away. The fight scenes get better. At first I thought it was a random selection thing between the winner and the loser so that the reader doesn't completely know who's going to win or not. It could still be, but once the big plot is revealed, the tournament doesn't seem to matter. Or the author could bring it back up. Currently, it's amazing.

It's a fighting Manga
by SunderCock

As a fighting manga, it's an easy 10/10, that is, if you judge it as a fighting manga.
If you compare it to semi-fighting ones, that are full of other garbage and nonsense (One piece, Bleach) then you will not like this, as it's not crap. It's a tournament, they fight to win, while the organizations fight in the background, if the main characters themselves have no reason to develop, they won't.

It's explained how they get stronger, so to say " characters grow stronger according to the whims of the author at a ridiculous pace" is rdiculous

It is unbelievable...

Like zendashi said, it is unbelievable how this series is at the top list...The art style is sloppy but that's the least of the problem. The plot if there is actually one is all over the place, the characters are paper thin stereotypes, the dialogues seem to be written by a 12 year old that is fanwanking with his new beat em up game and their abilities are completely ludicrous. What's with the hit point and leveling system and the nanobots? how is this explained? How about the ridiculous ''special'' abilities of the characters? A guy made a pact with a ''god'' he thought up himself when he saw an advertisement mascot for f@&%sakes. Now, we have a wizard (that belongs to a supposedly official association no less) that came out of nowhere, who summons american nuclear missiles to stop an evangelion angel ripoff another character summoned out of his ass. How is ANYTHING explained really? In short it is just a bunch of people gathered at a place to beat the crap out of each other using the power of hallucinogens. Even for a dedicated action series it is plain cluster$@*& I think the author should stop playing fighting games for a while....

The series has gone downhill.

In the beginning I thought this would be an amazing martial arts series. But then it dwelled into the ridiculous. People fighting with cards, swords, and monsters that basically materialized out of thin air. The plot is non-existent. This series had a lot of potential. Not anymore.

Other than fighting scenes, terrible

It is ridiculous that this manga is in the 8s. The fight scene are the most random and unbelievable things I've ever seen even in the context of that world. Every week I just read this manga to see what ridiculous bs they are going to come up with now. Plot is nonexistent or nonintelligible, and characters grow stronger according to the whims of the author at a ridiculous pace. At first it looked like a potential martial arts manga, now they're fighting with imaginary swords, unicorns, and god knows what.

Disappointing

I always wonder how something like this can get better reviews, even stating "awesome plot", than some other underrated webtoons, that actually DO have a plot that leads somewhere (even the author admitted in the beginning that he didn't know where this is going) and more than decent characters.

Oh well...

I like the battles though and that this mainly why I continue reading this. Worth to try out for people who like action and martial arts and don't care much about plot or deep characters. The webtoon is not bad per se, I just expected too much.

A great martial arts series

I'm not sure what manhwa Saphsin was reading, but the supernatural element is introduced even before the martial arts. http://comic.naver.com/webtoon/detail.nhn?titleId=318995&no=1&weekday=f ri
This series is funny action packed and semi-unpredictable yet consistent. The story quality is staying pretty consistent throughout, which is more than I can say for most manga/manhwa. If you like action/comedies with some drama mixed in, try this.

It's a really solid shounen mahwa.
I love the art style, the plot seems to be going somewhere now but and the character are a little dull.
i have to strongly disagree with Saphsin, this manhwa started with supernatural abilities, hell the first chapter was about supernatural abilities, it's not something that suddenly became a thing it was always there.

Much better than expected

This is waaaaaaay better than I thought it was going to be, and a lot more complex in a good way. I like the way these characters are so different and unique. Although they're all kick-butt strong they have creative always of pulling it off and establishing their loveable personality so although there are a ton of characters there is never any confusion. And although it is pretty much a series of matches to decide who's the strongest there is something going on behind the main picture. I also thought the art was kinda weird at first but now I like it. It's different, sort of flat in a stylized way, but it has a great sense of motion and the anatomy (which is really hard to get right) is usually spot on or close enough to it to look good.
