From JShoujo Scans:

Contains Five One-shots:

1) Yoake Mae (Before Daybreak)
Iori is the daughter of a wealthy family who has lived a caged-in existence. She has lived her life following the path set down by her parents, and now she is about to be married off to a man she doesn't love. She runs away and stumbles upon the late-night food stand run by Akira. His kindness and warmth opens her mind to a world she didn't know existed--but when his tragic past threatens to destroy the pure love that has begun to blossom, she must choose between the life she has always known and a love she didn't know was possible.

2) Back-Light
Ami, diagnosed with cancer and six months left to live, only wants to support her okama little brother. When her job requires her to look after her crush, Kyousuke, a professional boxer, she takes the plunge. But it turns out that he's the same.

3) Talking to Your Fingertips
When her grandmother strains her back, Kotoko takes the opportunity to take care of her father's step-brother who is in the hospital with a broken leg. The thing is, this uncle of hers, Sou, a children's book author, is also the only love she can't give up on.

4) Talking Eyes

I really enjoyed the 1st and last one shots. I think the first one may be one of my favorites I have ever read. It is deep and it makes you feel for the characters and their stories.

I think that if you are looking for a fluffy school age shoujo this is not your type. However, if you are looking for a manga with Depth and Characters you cannot find a dime a dozen, then your in the right place. I wasn't as big on the middle stories as the first and last ones. However, they were interesting and unique too.

There's a dark undertone to many of them even though they are mature, some of them are just melancholic, some more representative of serious traumas, but they all depict the characters in a very realistic and vulnerable light. Art is not exceptional, a little dated and haphazard from one story to another. Smut feels unnecessary at time, but it's not excessive. Good read, but not really a romance junkie's fix per se.

is creepy. The stories are very dark and only begins to shed some light at the ending. Not really my type of manga actually. Still, it MIGHT be recommendable, it might not be. To those that love dark and twisted plot, maybe this is for you.

PS: I find the cancer story very sad sad but suprisingly the 3rd story seems funny. Although it's related to uncles. xD
