Kisaragi Saya is a happy, small-town schoolgirl who spends peaceful days with her friends. She mostly hangs out with her friend Yuka, the twins Nono and Nene, and the class rep, who seems to have a crush on her. Saya is also intrigued with a mysterious loner named Tokizane, who always comes to school late. She lives at home with her widowed father, and often eats at the neighboring cafe 'Guimauve,' which is run by the excellent chef and family friend Fumito. Her life may seem very tranquil and happy from the outside, but Saya also secretly wields a mystical sword to defend the town from the 'Old Ones,' monsters who eat people. Lately, Saya is beginning to think that there's a lot more to the situation with the Old Ones than she knows...

by the end i mean the end of the movie "the last dark", the whole anime was good, i really love it and it got me so hyped up for the movie, but the ending in the movie was very dissapointing, it wasn't that bad actually, but seeing the way the 12 episodes anime build up the story just make you expect for a better ending. It's pains me so much to think that this could've become an amazing series if the ending was good enough.

Amazing anime and the manga sticks to it

While it starts off slow, the story gradually ramps up into a good mystery and some really interesting characters. Like many Clamp series, there is a good deal of mystery and ambiguous plot at the beginning. If the manga continues to follow the anime, it should nicely lead up to some good plot twists and climaxes. Don't be fooled by the beginning! There's more depth to this story than meets the eye!

Being a fan of Blood+ and Blood the Last Vampire, I can't say that this stuck to those stories (basically the names are all that is similar). Clamp delivered nothing but originality with this. And of course there's the beautiful Clamp art style (and a crossover for good measure).

even though i haven't even read it yet.

however, i've watched the anime...and if it goes just like in the anime, then, this series may either disappoint or please you. it's like a title with two may either like it or dislike it. depends on how you want to look at the bright side, if you wish to get to the turning point (in which will answer, and may even gratify what you needed from it) or just leave it where you're not satisfied with.

Don't get me wrong, I really, really wanted to like this, but this latest series has nothing on "Blood+". Even in it's own right it seems like another standard Clamp project, and doesn't do "Blood the Last Vampire" the justice it so greatly deserves. You'll probably like it if you haven't seen the source material and like CLAMP's style.
