Shoujo wrapped in Josei

The characters behave unrealistic in a way that annoyed me.
The female lead, Yukimi, is a little dumb and incompetent. Ren, the male, was okay. As okay as a guy can be who proposes to a woman after a minute of talking to her for the first time. Artificially forced start-up.
The story was little amusing. Yukimi gets possessed by different kind of spirits about every 2 days - which Ren, as abbot, is able to see and has to cast out. But the story around the reasons, why she got possessed by them in the first place, were all cliché - almost shoujo material. I was disappointed in this superficial presentation. Expect more from a Josei.
That could have been done better without using the stereotype "problems". Yukimi behaving differently after getting possessed was funny enough.

The art is partly really pretty. Some look too alike though. I can't stand it when all the difference is the hairstyle/-cut and the rest looks just the same.
The smut is of average level. If you want to try this out for the smut, then don't bother with it.

I read it while on a train and like that I didn't feel my time got wasted since it is just one volume but still I don't recommend this to anyone.

Considering this was Enjouji's 2nd or 3rd manga series, it definitely has a lot of room for improvement. Female's personality is non-existent, and she's often portrayed as a damsel-in-distress (a very useless one at that). And she's a crybaby. 1/10. The guy's not much special either,
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
though his job and tattoo are memorable
.

There seems to be no story.... it's just kinda plowing along towards no particular goal in general. And lots of cute sex. Then again, isn't that why we're all reading this manga? It's fluff, certified fluff. There isn't any real conflict at all, and whatever misunderstandings are usually solved in 3 pages.

The art's great though! Enjouji's men are my favourite. Recommended for those who want some eyecandy. But overall I'd just tell you to skip it. It's not worth the time.

This manga is not bad, although I've read better supernatural manga but the storyline is nice although I think the "I fell in love at first sight" scene is pretty too fast but it's still good and the climax was interesting. It's on one volume so I didn't expect much from this manga but overall, it's a nice read! Although I have to say, I do prefer private prince more.

Good thing the art is good. The story goes so fast, there's no deep love progressing between them. Maybe it looks as if there is, but for me there is not. The problems mostly come from their own insecure feelings, and then the problems are solved so fast. Hm. So, it's just like some other josei mangas which have simple plot.

This is not my favorite Maki-san's manga

Sometimes we must accept that mangas are not 'credible'. Stories are very fast, romances are not credible, things happen in days while in real life they take months. Generally, this is my barometer to Josei: if there is no chemistry between characters, then you should read something else.And here I think nothing happens between the characters. They have no depth. But I will keep reading, because I have liked other Maki-san's mangas.

Quite frankly, I've read much better josei before (and definitely better "supernatural" manga). The development of the main couple's relationship is very superficial, and especially in the first chapter I had trouble believing that that any person could have a satisfying and long-lasting relationship based on what happened in the manga. With that said, the art is rather nice, and like most mangas of this type, it gets a little less hideously cheesy as the manga progresses. But really, it seems ridiculous that their relationship moves so quickly... =__= Still, as much as I'm not particularly impressed with it, I'm continuing to read it. So if you don't mind cheesy josei/shoujo mangas, you might like this one. XD;
