... is what this is a retelling of. The basic problem with it is that it follows the original too closely so there's not much creativity here. It's hard to make a comedic version of a story that was originally a comedy/satire. There's also enough references to the book here that it's clear the mangaka didn't just watch the movie but that leaves me even more confused as to what the author's goal was.

Looks like this may be intended to be some kind of omake for another series. It doesn't stand on its own very well.
