The uke is a guy that went through something awful. but seriously the manga is pretty much him sleeping with random people each chapter, his impotent but in love with him seme, secretly yearning for him, while watching him sleep with men (literally watching him). the uke secretly yearns for him too. i find it hard to believe that someone that uses people the way he does, would be sitting in his office worrying about a subordinate that is impotent.

rinse and repeat. and thats it, thats the whole manga. uke has sex, seme is jealous but bears with it to be near him, uke meets someone else, has sex, more angst from the seme. sprinkled in are scenes where the uke is obsessed with servicing the seme even though he is impotent. the seme is weirdly loyal to the boss, im not sure why? he even is willing to cut off a finger because he failed to protect him. its just very weird and random.

im stunned the uke hasnt gotten some kind of STD. and im stunned people like this so much.

Absolutely engaging: It made me giggle, tear up and definitely "hot". Yashiro (boss) is the key character here, he's so messed up that you really don't know what he's gonna do next. Sooo it has good story, good characters, good sex scenes, a little comedy and angst and you get the best manga that Saezuru is. <3

I really like this manga, and I can see why it's popular. I don't think it's the best thing since ... oxygen like some of the other posters seem to, but even not being a ga-ga fangirl, it's worth the read. I don't find the characters as deep as others have stated, the main character as a post-rape sex hound might not be something I'm used to seeing in non-mature manga, but it's fairly familiar as a mature literary device. The secretly-in-like with the childhood friend ... well. The impotent character, however, is rather interesting... The cliffhangers are well done, but not in any way that I would consider out of the ordinary.

I have some general issues with the text bubbles not being directed to a face, which sometimes makes it difficult to determine who is speaking. The translations seem to be very good, so all thanks to the translation group.

What I really like in this manga is the art. The facial expressions are very well done. No one is ever just happy or just sad, there's always a mixture. Unless there is NO expression, but even then there's a sort of uncertain loss in the shading of the eyes and/or the tilt of the lips. It's extremely subtle, but very well done. I cannot think of another artist, mangaka or any other, who does this quite so well. This is probably me not knowing enough comic artists, but it still impresses me.

to all the nay sayers who are like "wtf why is a yaoi one of the top rated manga on this site damn fangirls" THIS MANGA IS FREAKING AMAZING. there's so few chapters out but already so much character development and action have occurred that i freak out each time a new chapter comes out.

this manga reminds me a bit of another top-rated manga on this site, Watashitachi no shiawase na jikan, except this one involves yazuka and is much grittier (and has yaoi). but like the previous title, never in my life have i wanted happiness for both main characters in a series so ardently. both characters have had the concept of love ruined for them in their youth, making it nearly impossible for them to interact with others romantically, in more ways than one. however meeting each other strips them of the negative experiences that have haunted them so and make it possible for them to connect in a way they couldn't quite connect with others before. this doesn't solve the romantic problem, however, and there is still a long way to go for them to even begin to acknowledge the change one sparked in the other.

yoneda kou, you are a freaking genius and master troll for ending each chapter with an unbearable cliffhanger. highly recommended.

this is the sequel to Tadayoedo Shizumazu, Saredo Naki Mo Sezu .the story itself has an interesting and unique plot. this is So sweet and bitter and full of emotions.Yashiro's personality is what makes this story so interesting he is so unpredictable. each time he opens his mouth i cry, laugh and smile.and I love how slow this story is progressing. Didn't think I'd get addicted to it but it's so different from everything else I've read. the rating proves it. yoneda kou-sensei is simply amazing . i highly recommend this series! it's one of the best bitter and sweet ones out there. XD

I love the atmosphere of this manga! It's not cheesy at all. It deals with deep, mature themes and brilliantly pulls off the psychological aspects that have to do with rape. Only 7 chapters have been released so far but I feel I've already gotten 3 volumes worth from this manga. As always, Yoneda sensei doesn't disappoint.

I've read a lot of yaoi but I never read something such as this. Yoneda Koe has such a way with her characters, they are beautifully written. She is great at making masochistic characters such as Yashiro. I really enjoy how all her characters interact with one another in this. It's a must read for all yaoi fans.

seriously, yoneda kou-sensei always wins my heart. i love her works as much as i do for youka nitta-sensei. Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai for me is the best yakuza-oriented yaoi manga i have ever read, and for that, 100 out of 10 for this!

Yoneda Sensei did it again,she is a master when it comes to create a genius plot.
The art style is not extravagant,it is contemptible with the characters,dark,raw and dufficient.
Yashiro and Doumeki’s relationship is so beautiful that it makes my heart beat faster and sometimes I pity Yashiro so much that I have an urge to cry.Yes characters are just so real.
Sigh just go read it people.

Really.. I've long forgotten the feeling of being excited over reading something... And then came Saezuru. I know it's cliche but i have so many going on inside me when reading this that I didn't know i still had those feelings... It's crazy.

I dare say Yoneda-sensei IS the best yaoi author without any exaggeration. I became interested in yaoi thanks to her and every time I feel devastated by how bad yaois are out there I just read her works and feel hope again!

I think Saezuru may be her bwest work..and I really hope that after her hiatus she is going to continue this amazing story!
