plot is an interesting one

the plot is fairly simple... so he travels to different dimensions rescuing damsels in distress... wait what? HONESTLY though when I started reading this I was a bit apprehensive by the "harem" part on the genre I have read many harems and I by no means am I harem fan, after all most harems are usually given to losers with little to no good qualities however after reading the first chapter and the hysterical little time traveler I found myself liking the whole plots idea and loving the little time traveler (seriously hes great) I look forward to this series and I actually want to read the novel! But looks like I'll have to settle for manga - This is coming from a guy who can enjoys and tolerate a harem where main character is a badass - "Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou" but hates harems like "To love ru" and judging by the first chapter it looks like it won't be the latter of these two types of harems~

Fun solutions to a mix of genres

The main character is a fairly wimpy but genre savy guy. Various women tend to pull him into a different genre/adventure. By taking aid from said heroines, he winds up holding the keys to finishing the quests of his next adventure. While he does acquire a fair amount of powerful items from his quests, he himself never comes across as suddenly becoming a badass. Instead, it is always a combination of analysis luck, and planning that saves his hide. Like many male heroes in manga/anime though, he is indecisive and never chooses a girl. Thankfully, this old harem trope isn't a big focus in the story so far. If anything, this really is heavily action based in the style of David vs Goliath.

The chapters tend to end in cliffhangers and plot hooks so it may be painful at times for the impatient.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Chapter 17 closes up a major arc though so as of this comment it is a pretty good time to jump in for a marathon read for those so inclined.

So far, I guess this is the most creative Harem...

And that's the biggest plus for this manga. If I may make a summary of harem plot, it's usually like this: A boy who is ordinary, is kind enough to serve all girls to get through of all girls' problems. The detail about what problems and what solution that the boy will bring, is the main factor of "harem"-ness quality that the author must think so that the story will be great and enjoyable, not "WTF, why so many girls surround this guy?" Many harem stories try to blur the main theme (that is Harem) by adding some "non-harem" (usually comedy or action) side stories - so that the story still entertaining and not predictable.

And yet, this manga just stick with the "harem" rule anyway, so that the "Harem" theme become so obvious and become the main conflict of the plot. The author is really bold and I truly appreciate that. Instead of being ugly and predictable, the plot (so far) is unpredictable. Using mixed fantasy setting, this (novel) series can serve many refreshing unique problem for each heroines. In addition, the story of unique problems is intertwined each other (and the comedy is a big plus also)... It's awesome and brilliant .

Limited by my limited knowledge, I guess I could say this is the most creative (and best maybe) harem manga... update: The World God Only Knows also place number 1 in term of plot creativity (both are amazing)... Sorry, I forgot that TWGOK is harem manga, hahaha...

Light Satire

For those that are sick of the same old harem adventure plots, this one does a great job at shaking things up. It's has a lot of similarities to She's Gon where it makes fun of the cliche elements the story presents, yet at the same time still puts them into the story. So only those who are actually comfortable with the cliches are the ones getting the most out of this manga.

Update: Up to chapter 23. While the comedy felt fresh, the storyline lost its direction after the first major arc. The author doesn't seem to have a solid plan anymore and I'm scared how the story ends in 5 volumes while I'm currently on the 4th with no end in sight in the progression. Sounds like another bad case of getting rushed/axed. And since this is based off of a much longer (never ending) LN, the chance that this manga did get axed is astronomically high.

Typical shit ending for a typical Japanese harem manga. I especially loathe how the "hero" even admits in the final chapter how unfair it is to not choose a girl, but his inherent Japanese Beta-Male disease is so strong he's just gonna run away from it...again. This is why I stopped reading/watching Japanese harem media. 99.7% of them end the same way.
