The series started pretty interesting, but then it just got weird? The characters act in odd ways and the story seems... off. Despite aiming to become a detective, main character Takahashi is pretty dense and reckless, and lets Rei do whatever he wants.
And then it's revealed
For a drama about an illness, everything seems too forced and unrealistic.

After having sex in a hotel, Rei suddenly takes a sample of Takahashi's blood. Takahashi should have been way more alarmed!

Rei is Takahashi's cousin and fell in love with him when he visited him in the hospital when they were kids. And he's rich and has a pHD from America (which he got as a teen) and is loitering around Takahashi's university as a freeloader to get close to Takahashi (I assume).
Rei just comes off as creepy and perfect and bland to me.For a drama about an illness, everything seems too forced and unrealistic.

Houyou Jikken is really interesting and the art will catch your eye; however, after reading two chapters I could say this could use a little more development. I'm not really feeling the main character, Miya. But, as of right now, this is a great read and will surely have you hooked.
