Fuwa Yuusuke is a high-schooler afraid of being branded differently from others. To date, he's had nothing more than casual relationships. Nakahashi Makoto is afraid of losing the people he loves. To date, he has not had a serious relationship with anyone.

Nakahashi Kenji (Makoto's uncle) is a cop who has a inferiority complex when comparing himself to his honor student brother and his lover, Misonou Takashi, a novelist.

A certain incident brings these 4 people together. This is an adult love story about the emotions of different people who harbour feelings of loneliness in their hearts.

Kure is angry that cop Tachibana Tsuyoshi doesn't remember him, and he doesn't handle that very well.

All the while Nakahashi Kenji and Tachibana Tsuyoshi are trying to solve the serial murder of 3 highschool girls.

The last chapter is a oneshot about a patissier and his shop assistant.

So much potential...

So little follow-through. Also, I know it's a staple of the genre for al, the characters to be gay, but somehow it's more disappointing in a more realistic manga. I felt like it could have been really good, but then it was rushed and so much opportunity for character growth was lost.

The last chapter is my favorite out of all of the other stories. The chapter had a good definite ending unlike the main story. The couple is happy together and their relationship and their lives have no problems. A happy and perfect ending which all stories should have.
The other chapters were confusing. I was confused by what happened to every character. It wasn't clear what happened to Fuwa. There is another Nakahashi in Ai Daro, so I wondered if they are related. All the characters makes the story confusing and I don't think the character appearances are consistent, as in some characters are focused on more than others and some characters' stories feel unresolved. What happened to Fuwa Yuusuke and Nakahashi Makoto afterwards.
I usually like interconnected stories, but this one was badly planned. It would have been better if each couple had their own story, instead of mixing in characters and problems, witch just raised more problems and questions.

I'm in love with the lovely drawings and the intricate plot.
But the one I love the most is the Extra story an the end of vol 2.
It's quiet romantic and sweet and just really good to read.

part of that was the translation, which was a bit klunky, and seemed to have special trouble with names (two makotos, one male, one female, not related? yup, and takahashi tsuyoshi should be tachibana tsuyoshi. the names in the description differ as well; since i now have the raw; i'll correct that.). sometimes the action jumped in strange ways that i couldn't immediately decipher; such as how the knife suddenly ended up in fuwa's hand, and what the heck happened when fuwa dropped the dog off at makoto's (the guy) and some harsh words were spoken out of the blue that led me to believe they had broken up (which turned out not to be so)..

i agree with @fouloldron that the rape was handled weirdly. i'm used to rape being treated quite cavalierly in BL, but here there was ... no reaction at all. i wouldn't have expected charges (that NEVER happens in BL, and does in fact not always happen in real life either, especially not when men get raped; the rate of underreporting is quite large). but i would have expected some reaction.

but the manga has a plot (the serial murder of several highschool girls), here is some thoughtful stuff here about loneliness, and the art is pleasant. overall i am glad to have read it, and i'll be looking for more from this mangaka (but it looks like that will have to be in japanese; nothing else is scanlated).

Rape featured

Most of the story is good, but then one of the police officers is raped and he acts like it's almost nothing.
He doesn't even press charges or gather evidence, or get that angry at the boy.
I personally can't stand lack of realism about rape and that ruined this manga for me.

I love the art- Misonou and Kenji are just the perfect couple. Have been waiting for Fusichou to release another chapter. This one's been on the shelf for too long!
