what lead to its cancellation

Personally, the series has pretty good premise with glowing corpses and the character wants to find out about the mysteries of the world. What lead to its cancellation is the main character lacks personality so the average reader will have hard to time connecting with him,

That includes the other characters as they don't stand out to give a good early impression

lack of focus for the main story as its not cohesive and it's over reliant on comical facial expression for the purpose humor, but the author seems to have learn his flaws as evident in black clover

I kinda like this one...

For me, i like the story line. I wished it was a bit longer, since from reading this is one go. It seems like it ended so fast. Specially after chapter 20... Other antagonist wasn't able to make a proper entrance except for the marvo which the protagonist have battled in the second chapter. It seems like there are supposed to be chapter in between 20 and 21...

Despite that the first chapters for me are in a steady pace. It's kinda weird why the ratings and comments pointing out to it's a past time manga... For me it would be better for it to be longer... There are still some thing unclear. And the story didn't even got to battle the last one making it an open ending.

For it's not a bad manga, rather it was great for me. The art isn't bad as well. Shame that it's just short. The oneshot is the same, however it was totally different to the series...

So far (chapter 16), it's an okay shounen. The series itself starts off fairly slow and a bit disjointed, but the pacing actually gets a lot better after a few chapters. The main characters are the typical duo of smart but quirky kid with extremely human and fairly dense sidekick, and neither of them have the spark of characterization yet that would allow them to break out of that mold. There's possibly potential there though; some of the side characters (Vivienne, in particular) here gave a lot of life to the manga in the recent chapters. As for the story itself... Using science as a gimmick is refreshing, I guess, except the whole thing right now is packaged like a D.Gray-man clone and would need to be much more distinct if it wants to last in the future.

first the series is a completely different concept than the one-shot, second someone said bleach will end relatively soon, i disagree in 2009 the author said he wanted to continue for around another 10 years. i really like the series it might just be cause i get the science involved in the story but i like it.

if the one shot gets a series, expect to have many changes. sometime its forced on them, sometime its better, and sometime its needed to make sure the series last long. anyway lets give it chance u never know which of the 3 new series will go on to be long on going series. Hitman Reborn just ended and Bleach will too relatively soon. they need new ongoing ones that will last a decade more or less.

I liked the oneshot. The series is a lot different and really isn't the same thing at all except the main character's appearance but that doesn't mean it's bad. Probably should have had a different title though

The oneshot wasn't bad, but it didn't have enought to make a serialization. Now it has more changes than I espected but I have hope with this to make a long runner, I would like to see an evolution of the art with the time.

The first chapter was like Sensei no Baruji, It was too generic, cliche, and things other shounen manga have done better. . The first chapter should be just an introduction to the characters and story with a little spice to keep readers interested. . this on the other hand was just. . . boring. . just like Sensei no Baruji, i think this will be axed in T-less than 20 chapters. . or i may be wrong. . since its just the 1st chapter lets give it a chance and wait and see. .

Well, if you've got a couple minutes of free time and you don't know what to do with it you might as well read this oneshot. It wasn't awful but it certainly wasn't good either. It's just "meh." Left a couple things unexplained which makes me think the author was very hopeful it would become a series. Maybe it will but the art, the rather crappy dialogue and the characters need a lot of improvement. Anyway, it wasn't anything special.
