The stories all had some potential...

Hmm... I don't think the translations itself were the primary problems of these stories. How do I put it? The art was really gorgeous, the atmosphere really resembled those old Chinese stories but the development was quite stunted. In fact, they could have done with a lot more pages for better characterisation and for more room to develop the stories. Still, it's nice to see something based on Chinese mythology and even though the stories weren't fully developed, it was quite a pleasure to read them.

Four stories that read very much like folk tales full of mystery and awe, with art that is entirely complementary to the feelings they arouse. It was hard to enjoy these though, due to both the quality of the scans and more importantly the quality of the translation which ends up leaving you confused at several points. Due to the translation immersion in the story is difficult. Too, the delivery of the story by the mangaka is lacking, they tend to build up to a premature climax and then deflate as the end comes.
beautiful!!

it was really beautiful how they fought for tehir love in if it was futile...*sigh* god im such a sucker for historical romances!!
the first and second stories are light hearted and cute...even though the second one was unrequinted love...it still left me with thi mellow happy feeling...
the third story has this weird feeling all over it...its like it has a menacing feeling all over it...i dont like it but i do liked the ending..
the fourth story...im not a fan of incest and i find it weird and disturbing because i live with my male relatives...but they say that it was destined attraction and i felt sorry for them when they...<you know what> i the end...but its still intriguing...
i cant give a 10 here because even though i have stated that it really was beautiful...the feeling is lacking in most of teh stories...

Really nice stories, and nice art (the scans aren't really good though)..
The stories are told like they used to be long ago, with, how to say, old fasioned cliches?..
Nontheless, very nice.

Really, who gave this a 3 ? The art alone should grant a high score: detailed , elegant, realistic yet not, gives you the impression of looking at decorative panels of old with all those swirls and curls of clothes fabric, smoke, clouds, plants, patterns.
As for the stories they have a strong base in folklore and traditional beliefs, and personally I really dig it.
