An old friend returns and slightly improves

The original manga is slightly better than the content skipping anime but both are "only" a 8/10 as they were from a period when the author was still finding his voice. He didn´t even write the first few volumes. This one volume tale though returned after 15 years of the map and 20 for the master himself. The art is grittier and the tales got somewhat darker but nothing mass market unfriendly. Kaeton still got game and i would like to read more such stories in the future.
Directly comparable manga, not by Urasawa, remain elusive in English but Thermae Romae should fit the bill and the team´s current Billy Bat (10/10) is his best so far.
