Description

This is deep, really can touch yo heart.. i kinda hope theres more tho, its beautifully writen and i like it so much.. the stories is so good.. and i like how the character written.. tbh

tbh i thought Tyltyl and Mythyl will do it in the end, i mean even tho they were main character of this yaoi manga, and even tho Tyltyl do it with everyone, huhu i waitin for them to intimate and love each other emotionally and physically (´･_･`)9
but still this stories is so good and amazing.. the stories not just about loves, and intimacy but about family and lifes.. i love how the brother complete each other lifes, and being understanding with each other..and in the end its hurt me so much no kidding... Crystal Palace is a difficult manga for me to come to terms with. The layer, upon layer of meanings, construct such a complex picture that I am unsure of how to read this. The plot and story itself are simple enough to follow without getting struck. The flow of the story and its pacing is also perfect. The art is simply astounding. But gets me is the deeper layers of meaning, because while the story is simple to follow the themes is deals with-Death, Love Laws, Regret, and the Ethics which undergirds them-are not.
Furthermore, while is art is astounding beautiful and gentle, the lives of the characters are anything but that. Thus, while the artistic style tells us one story, the plot line itself tells a completely different, and in many, many, ways incompatible story. Yet, the harmony, and the dissonances it elicits, are just wonderful.
A manga which pushes one to question one’s assumptions about life and oneself, whether implicitly or explicitly, is most definitely a wonderful work of art.
I have read this three times by now, and I am sure I will go back a many times more.

For such a gloomy story, this manga feels like a surprising breath of fresh cold air to me and it's not just because the setting is in Alaska. It's very 'western' in terms of plot and presentation (as far as BL is concerned) and does seem unconventional, but the characters manage to stay within the realm of reality. And I actually like the ambiguous ending and how it can be up for interpretation.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and reward this with a 10 only because I like its qualities so much, and to even out the ratings a bit too. It has issues I could see but they don't hinder my enjoyment and appreciation for it.
