Disappointed

The drawing is unusual w/o tones but using engraving technics, half-tones are all done with the pen. The general feeling is dark, which is relevant regarding the story, but it isn't easily readable; in most boxes the scenery becomes muddled. Plus most of the characters look alike, but for the colour of eyes and hair, and sometimes hairiness. Eventually it's even more confusing. I like seinen and complex plots and even if after reading the first volume I'd like to know more about the story, I'm not eager to buy the next ones.

So the “monster” seems to look like the Japanese investigator, but is it mimicry or more, or just the drawing? Also the story confessed by the Afro-American transporter is frustrating, as it's obviously horrible seeing as he and the priest react, but we're told nothing right now.
.
I read TANABE's manga are greatly appreciated, for one I won't follow the main flow... Usually I like unusual stories and technics, but this time I'm not convinced.
