Description
Chio-chan is a gamer and a high school girl who gets into some interesting predicaments on her way to school. For instance, she was once running late for class due to staying up all night playing a game like Assassin's Creed, and her usual route was blocked. Prompted by the previous night's gaming, she decided to take to the rooftops, a strategy that does not work quite as well in real life! Are you an excitable person? Or do you have a friend who is? If so, you'll recognize Chio, a girl for whom a walk to school can turn into any of a number of intense or thrilling adventures or challenges, depending on what she happens to encounter. And her friends are similar. She and they are as funny as hell as they go about overdoing stuff at the drop of a hat. The drawing of their overdoing is sharp and lively, and you never can tell what'll happen next. Never boring. Often silly. This manga can't be beat.
This is comedy gold, the situations even when not completely outrageous are funny enough mostly because of the overblown manner in which the main character couple handle them. The dinamic between them makes it well worth the time.
Chio-chan no Tsuugakuro takes a unique little premise and doesn't dwell on it, wasting no time to demonstrate further appeal than a simple gimmick. Super funny, surprisingly has great "action" elements, jokes are timed supremely well; it's a manga that is so good you can enjoy it without reading the words. Wrote a proper review on it going over it in somewhat finer detail. I also really like how the protagonist is a gamer. Lovely.
