This manga is very unique in its own way. Lots of weird character with different traits and stuff but there is one thing that is bugging me ........ THE LAST UPDATE WAS A YEAR AGO!! But yeah the manga is definitely (almost) eveyone favorite. It has been a while since i read such (incomplete and probably axed) amazingly done manga.

This manga literally takes a huge shit on how other male leads deal with the concept of 'woman-hater' and the harem plots and literally just expertly takes it apart. The lead is fantastic, and his dynamic with the female characters are FANTASTIC. They're all just obsessed with him in some way, and the way he deals with them is fascinating to see. I love this. I came directly to MU just to write "it takes a huge shit on other manga" for this manga and thus far, I've only read like 2 chapters. Bless it.

I just discovered it today.... And it was freakingly awesome!!!

I like harem stories but I also got tired of the typical "Insensitive Protagonist with High Spec Harem" Style fad nowadays... And boom! This manga changed my preference when it comes to harem stories.

Each of the Harem members has a unique trait of their own. It's a bizzare slice-of-life setup which potrays that Harems aren't limited to standard harem which is imprinted into the anime and manga world. Little romance plot, more blood, and twisted personalities makes this harem reaaaally interesting. This is one of the few Main Protagonist I really like. It is hard to understand his motive but it must be because of little information due to dropping of this series by the translator. I feel the vibe of "Kono Shima ni wa Midara de Jaaku na Mono ga Sumu" after reading. I beg that someone, please continue translating this series. It is a hell of a story and I enjoyed its weirdness and randomness

A very legitimate twist on the traditional harem

Each girl is messed up. The guy is mature and sane.

No bullshit tsundere, kuudere, deredere or whatever, there is originality in all of the character designs.

That said, the author has yet to establish an underlying plot and there has been very little romantic development - if at all - as far as I've read (Chapter 11).

As such, this manga is promising albeit superficially episodic in nature.

I've seen and read some disturbing stories but this one gets you in a way that you may like it... and I find that really dangerous xD. Every kind of quirk or insanity you may think of, this manga gives it to you in a bloody platter with pastries. I think we're still missing some and this manga will deliver them probably sooner or later.

I don't agree with what GrandBlue has to say about this series. Sure, everyone has their own tastes, but I don't feel like this series is as bad as he makes it out to be.

Even if the manga does play out like a slice of life, it's still a pretty damn interesting life you get to see as the reader. Protagonist has to put up with a bunch of girls that he has different relations to, and each one has some defining feature to identify them by ("vampire," masochist, stalker, serial killer, clingy sister, sleepyhead, and even bodyguard). He's in no way the usual kind of generic harem protagonist, where he's weak and shy, yet of course very nice, and that's what the girls like about him. Nope! He barely smiles, barely cares about school, and even starts the manga by telling himself how, "These beings called 'women,' never bring any good." Although he feels that way, he's still (somewhat) respectful to each of the girls he interacts with.

I'd figure that as for conflicts in a slice of life series, it would be something simple relating to school or friendships or possible even serious issues going on in someone's life. Meanwhile with this manga, first conflict presented has the teacher wanting to kill the protagonist's sister (he secretly murders some of his classmates cause he's crazy...). [Spoiler] Best part's how the protagonist handles it once he finds out: He has some of the girls each help him out toward plotting the teacher's downfall, and oh my is it splendid to see how the hunter (teacher) slowly realizes that he has become the hunted.

I don't think it needs a story/plot to set it in some specific direction. Although it's not on the same level as Douman's fantastic manga The Voynich Hotel (one of my favorite series), I still think that it has some of its own uniqueness and charm as for how it goes about without much direction at times. Only issue I have is the incredibly long and unexpected releases per chapter, but hey, I'm definitely still having some fun with the series...

It's not just a harem with dark elements (there's a ton of it) it's a fully dark harem and besides the dark humored ones (Zetsubou sensei...) it's pretty rare except maybe for school days (animated not manga)
Let's look the premise of almost all harem mangas:
"There is a nice guy who helps cute girls. Feel sympathy for them"
But most people complained about the guy being bland and the girls being cliche.
So in school days they use reverse logic
"This guy doesn't do any effort in any of his relationships, and lets himself being knowingly manipulated by horiible girls, hate them you'll be satisfied you'll see."
They also made him an idiot so no one would respect him for at least being an ass**** on purpose.
In this one however we still have
"This is a nice guy who helps cute girls, but a bit diiferent, still feel sympathy for them"
Liking these specific girls because they're cute reveals the hypocrisy of the reader, and feeling sympathy for a guy who helps them the wrong way puts us in a very difficult situation and that's a great idea.
This is a deconstruction who "fucks" with the readers of the genre instead of its authors (like onepuch man for battle shounen). Readers always say they want difference but still expect to find the same things that made them like the genre in the first place in this we have both and we feel bad about it.
As for the story obviously, the focus is supposed to be on the characters and the randomness of the chapters sticks perfectly with the rest.
I'm putting an eight because I don't want deconstruction to become too popular instead of just changing the too old thropes.

Rubbish. Total rubbish.

It never ceases to amuse me when people start chucking out 9s and 10s for a manga simply because it takes a familiar concept & applies a dark twist. Sorry, but the only difference between this manga & say, To-Love Ru (outside of art), is that this one has a darker tone with some disturbing themes, and here's a newsflash people, being dark does not make it good.

The setup in the first chapter seemed somewhat promising, but that's all it is; a setup. From chapter 2- onwards, it becomes abundantly clear that this manga has no intention of telling a story, and intends to be a slice of life harem with no character development, reminiscent of Nisekoi & the aforementioned To-Love Ru. But hey, it's dark and some of the characters are sociopaths, so hip!

Also, big thanks to Pebble down below for giving me my biggest laugh of the day. See, there's a huge difference in quality between Douman's Mangas and this chump's; Douman's are actually witty & well-written and they're not defined by being slice of life with dark themes like this stupid manga is.

To anyone with a grain of intelligence: look elsewhere.

It makes me think of some of Douman Seiman's weirdest work, and that's a compliment.
The main characters are extremely f*cked up, in the kind of way that makes you both relieved (because they're so bad, you're lucky they're on the hero side) and very uneasy (because they're so bad it's hard to think of them as the heros...), definitely awesome protagonists. Also the world they live in is equally twisted so it's very satisfying to see them let their messed up act run wild and take care of the bad (worse?) guys as they see fit.
Recommended to readers who love quirky messed up characters.

I generally HATE harems, but this one's really good

Normally, harem leads are really boring losers or are super annoying. But the guy in it is actually really interesting. Later on, he's quite badass too. He doesn't seem to care about anything, but he does care for one thing:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
His little sister. Yes, he has a sister complex! (Non-romantic) Not overly doting, but trust me, it's there.

The girls in them, while ALL weird, are also really interesting and have something wrong with them mentally. (And the male lead is fully aware of how crazy they are too.) They're not some sad excuse for moe. Air-headed cuteness annoys me and this manga had none of that.

The latest chapters about the serial killer are really good. I tried this manga on a whim, despite being a shoujo/josei reader, and I loved it. (It doesn't hurt that I'm a big fan of "psychological" stuff.)

This does get kind of gore-y and has some nudity (which only occurs during the violent or SM scenes). Nothing I found particularly offensive, but I have a pretty high tolerance. Don't read if you can't stand the occasional death scene and sadomasochism play. There are subtle hints of black humor in here.

EDIT: I've read up to chapter 15 now. The story becomes convoluted and boring starting chapter 11. I changed my 10 rating to a 7.
