It's nice reading a manga that starts like as a child and continues to grow for the better.

Appealing and excellent story. Very realistic plot. Of course, dealing with stubborn females is not always easy, you have to preserve and be more understanding to be able to keep up the relationship. And that is what the main male character do best. He never gave up.

I first tagged the main male character as an idiot but later on became more and more mature as like as he realizes his goal. Few manga do this if im correct.

When it come to the educational area, this manga also teaches teen kids how to deal on situation like if your girlfriend gets

Spoiler (highlight to view)
pregnant Would you join a shotgun wedding or just escape.

I like it when the mangaka constantly made heavy development for the characters and the plot. It's nice reading a manga that starts like as a child and continues to grow for the better.

There are a lot of twist and unexpected events you'll encounter here. This is my second time reading this and never let me down.

This manga made me realize the times I spent with my former girl, felt inlove the first time we see each other, confessing, getting to know each other, spending time together, building a future, having a child. It made me realize those good ol times.

I just couldn't stop and now I'm so screwed. Exam tomorrow didn't start studying yet

Yes, I liked the manga that much.

At first, it was a little too ecchii but if you read pass it you'll realize that the level of ecchi-ness is relatively low compared to others ones. The girls also had normal size and shape boobs (overall), some manga just make them retarded.

Oh yeah, I never really liked sport related manga. But then this manga is actually less about sports compared to romance/drama. The track and field was more like a support to tie the two together.

Lastly, comparing this mantga to Seo's other work, this drama/romance is by far the most realistic one. Other than the drunken ladies and a hole in the wall. 'A Town where you Live' is a really good manga, but not so much on the realism side. The others are good but in their different ways (some are 1 shot or maybe 2 shot, some are fantasy mixed or super natural, etc)

This manga started off kind of weird (way too much ecchi-ness), so even if you don't like that type of stuff, I HIGHLY recommend that you stick through it. I give you my word that it'll get better. The plot develops quite quickly with only a few side-stories and "other" main character developments. There will be times where you'll want to just throw the manga away (or close your browser), but I stuck through it for some reason... and I'm EXTREMELY happy that I did so.

Suzuka is easily one of the greatest mangas I have ever read. It's truly an amazing Romance manga mixed well with the Sports genre (Track and Field). Right now, I really hope I can find another manga that'll live up to this.

An ending can truly save a story.

While reading Suzuka, I have to tell you that it took some serious determination to not put it in my unfinished list. After each chapter, or even during the loading times of each page of each chapter, I had to fight that urge. I'm rather glad I did, 'cuz, as the title says, the ending makes it all worth it [somehow]. I mean, the story wasn't all that bad, but I'm not gonna lie and say that Suzuka was a bit of a bitch.. and the thing about Honoka becoming a model was a great smack in the face for Yamato XD

I won't say "enjoy" like I usually do, but try to finish it biggrin Seo Kouji's artwork is awesome as always too.

The dude was wayyy too nice. He devotes all of his attention, all of his time to a girl who is constantly rejecting him.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Then after they get together, Suzuka dumps him and goes overseas for her own good, then kumz bak and the dude is still in love with her. Damn hez got no pride at all. Cant believe he picked Suzuka over the model girl...r u crious? I totally hated the heroine and kinda disliked the hero for his lack of pride. Suzuka did not deserve him...no wayy

A REAL good manga, and real worth reading.

It's all about character's growth, and the experiences that make them become mature.

Like the others said, the plot is pretty damn real, the characters are pretty damn real.

I have never seen a romance manga like this one, and so far, it's the best one I have ever read.

Sorry bout my bad english wink

Fave Manga All time maybe

this manga might have been one of my favorite mangas of all time. I read this as one of my 1st EVER EVER EVER mangas and had it up till about volume 7 on my computer. so i never actually had the chance to read the rest. when i was looking at manga at onemanga(before i went to mangahut) i saw this and in my mind i noticed some de ja vu, it was only in the sports meet when Yamato used the rocket starters that i got brain struck and found out i had read it some years ago. This was the 1st manga to make me cry, im not lying, its so damn touching at parts, and it was the 1st manga that made me cry twice. I love Seo Kouji - sensei and i love his other works. One of the best mangas out there, and also to people who think that Suzuka is a B*tch i would have to disagree, because sure she treats him badly but she wants to see how much Yamato would do for her. I agree to the commenter who said that it just enhances Suzuka's personality and besides look at her dad, he is one strict sonnavu... Yea...

a great manga that have pique my interest.
If i'm not mistaken, this is the second manga that i have read. the very first was naruto.. anyway, about this manga.

the characterization was not that complex. each has its own roles and mysteries. although some character's mysteries were not revealed fully, still hints and pieces are scattered through out the story. the plot itself can excite anybody. it is really a romance type of manga. and not just your typical romance manga, but it will really captivate your heart. even those stone cold heart would appreciate the beauty and grandeur of the story. a two-thumbs-up manga. A must read.

So realistic

It's one of those stories that make you think, "This could actually be happening." The realism of the art is also very compelling - although.....I noticed a few times that Yamato's lips looked - wierd to say the least. *See if you can notice it LoLs!* The whole story line is something that almost could be applied to real life as a whole. Except Suzuka's bit.....oops.... may be kids reading this - ummmm....rude behavior to Yamato.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Did you notice that the charm that Yamato gave Suzuka was for a "A healthy (Child) delivery? And she also gave one to him later on? BATABING!!! SUPER HINT!! I was just to slow to catch it when it happened...I remembered after though! XD

I agree with Dustdog...There were very little side stories, or sub-character developments.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Although I think that the mangaka hinted that Yasunobu Hattori and Miki Hashiba might get along since they fight almost the same way the two main characters did.

Anyway, it was well worth the ride. I look forward to future releases from this mangaka. - Read and love

It was an ok read; very little side character development/storylines, it really was the Yamato/Suzuka show. I'd wager Saotome's side-story would never have happened if it didn't have something to do with Yamato/Suzuka. Personally I would haved liked to have seen more of Hashiba; even pairing her up with Yamato, but alas~

As a side note; it felt as though the whole story of Yamato being a potential track star fell completely flat; as if it was deliberately left unfulfilled/incomplete on purpose to drive the romance of the story, and to avoid a few volumes of showdowns etc. I'm kind of glad it didn't happen, but it still feels as if that aspect of the manga was a miss with it being handled in a rather "meh" way. Miyamoto having a boyfriend would have made it awesome heh.
