Predictable? Not particularly.

Going into this series with no prior experience with the mangaka could present a treat in itself, since the layout is much more linear than what I remember from his older works and reads much easier. Additionally, it could turn what would have otherwise been a painful experience into something enjoyable. You won't have to strain your eyes with stupid puns in the corners of every panel (at least for the first chapter). That isn't to say that the series is a disappointment, but the dissatisfaction still lingers nevertheless. The girls are cute and the comedy, however slight or unfunny, is still plentiful and you won't be without if not fulfilled.

I hope that makes no sense.
