Description
The main character, Kazuyoshi Takeda, is 35 years old and is currently living as an assistant while having a dream of becoming a manga artist. One night, my wife said, "I feel like your testicles are strange ..." and when I was examined at the hospital, I was told that I had testicular cancer.

...when I realized that instead of referring to a common name for a cat, the title referred to a pet name for a ball of cancer! I previously saw it on a list of manga titles being shortlisted for a particular award and had wondered how saying goodbye to a cat could possibly become such an elevated comic. Oh now I know!
Now that I finished reading the description, I see it is very heartfelt and motivational as well as sad and difficult, and as somebody who is bed bound but not in a good way, I relate to adding some motivation into difficulty very much indeed. I wonder if there are comedic elements to this manga as well. But as you can see this is not currently a review of anything but the title and my reaction to it and the plot given on this page. I will update this if I can ever get an English translation of this apparently fine work.
