Description
Don't let go of your lamp or get close to the darkness.
Since ancient times, there have been spirits of darkness in this town. They dwell in the darkness. The "lamps of darkness," whose flames are made of human souls, live in their hand. We are afraid of the darkness because the spirits of darkness quietly rob humans of their souls from the shadows. Countless human souls have been made into their flames. You too, be careful so that you won't have your soul robbed.

Sweet feel good fluff w/ non-annoying characters

Nice story. Generally satisfying end (if a bit too easy). Has some interesting concepts, like how the lamps work and where shades come from, but it's all dealt with in a light-hearted manner. Felt like a really long one-shot.

Recommended if you're in the mood for a sweet story that's mildly better than the standard shoujo fare. Not particularly outstanding, but not bad either.

Too short!!

In a town where lamps are created to protect the people from the darkness, Oregano moves in with her big brother, who works at a lamp shop. Her first errand was to help deliver a lamp to a client, with a warning: "You will neither let go of your lamp, nor you will get close to the darkness." But what happens when her lamp goes out and she meet the spirit of darkness?

Character development is slow, but firmly building up the foundation. I'm just disappointed that it was too short because I felt it could potentially build up some more.

I like the art very much because I felt it fits into the story theme. Most shoujos I've read these days have crazy details, so it's probably refreshing to see something that feels a bit more calming and giving it a slice-of-life vibe.

Overall, I rated 10 because it's very good, despite the shortness of the story was its weakness. It could had build up the storyplot some more and I felt I didn't get a chance to get the full juicy meat of the story yet.

I saw this manga and immediately thought: "I have to buy it!" I do not regret my choice. This manga now holds a special place in my heart. It's a good read, although it was short. I wanted more! Still, I enjoyed it a lot.
