It's a very cut-and-dry collection of oneshots but somehow it feels quite unique at times. I attribute this to various trope breakages and borderline satires. In particular, things like rape attempts/assaults/other crimes committed on the heroine (particularly by various exes or hot guys) do not go unpunished because of inane reasons like "too much trouble". They usually get sent to the police and handled in a realistic manor, which is more than one can expect from these kinds of slapstick romcoms.

I started reading Yoshihara Yuki's works recently, selectively because I'm not into smut but love some of her comedies.

Generally, this collection of short stories is fine, good short read. But two chapters hit me uncomfortably:
- Chapter 11 Cherry Blossoms in the Dark is dark and a bit mental, the only smut in this collection. Not my taste.
- Chapter 8 Again. This one particularly exposes the author's preferences. Honestly all her characters are similar if not exactly the same in terms of characters, personalities and even to physical qualities. What irked me here is the fantasy escapism (not just in this particular chapter but all of her work in general): beautiful, pretty, slim, tall, big-breasted, heads full of hair, etc. get it. It's depressing when I think deeper into that.

But I also appreciate her humour and how her characters react or turn into chibis. Still the fantasy escapism gets tedious.
