Maybe should be longer?

I've re-read this manga multiple times, mostly for the art-style. It impresses me a lot how mangaka was able to create the character that is cute, handsome, a bit feminine, but still badass at the same time. I just love Seina so much, his design is brilliant.
But I have to agree, manga starts off in a very interesting way, but then it's rushed and becomes messy. I believe if we got a few more chapters, it would be a lot better. We should see more of Seina family's stuff and more of Seina and Jin's relationships progress. But it's still 9.5 from me, because I enjoyed this story a lot.

I like the setting; it’s unique, fresh, and as rare it is to come by it is hard to pull off. So, like I do like the setting, and the art is honestly very appealing, but the characterization and story becomes sloppy so quickly and just plain annoying it's hard to keep going on.

This mangaka should stick to drawing and leave the writing to someone else

It's not even a bash or anything; I truly feel she has a knack for the art, and her designs for the characters are all very top-notch and intriguing too. Her story, on the other hand, consists of mostly nothing even remotely interesting enough to match the awesome art; it's just bland with no real accents or climaxes, and even the characters' past - an excuse for an obligatory 'conflict' - is all in all a weak attempt at prolonging a story that never really had any substance to it from the beginning.

I've seen many duos in this field flourish because each member is able to play to their forte; there's nothing wrong with excelling at only one thing. What this artist needs to do asap is to find an author with good ideas and whom would work well with her, so that she could focus on drawing only while the writing department is being taken care of by someone more gifted at that. I could definitely see them propel to fame if they play their cards right - I just hope this mangaka figures out her strengths as well as weaknesses in order to find the best way to move forward in her budding career as a manga artist.

Disclaimer: I don't like dark, dramatic stories. I hardly enjoy stories with a 3rd party trying to split up lovers. Sooo this story was right up my alley.

Agreed with most commenters, this story had a dark, mysterious vibe in the beginning. I think a large part of that perception is knowing that, in Japan, tattoos are largely associated with unsavory people. Having tattoos myself it was refreshing to see normal characters, without serious angst or edge, portrayed with tattoos. The dark/mysterious conflict is revealed to be a simple misunderstanding with a rather excessive reaction. But ultimately Sena, the tattoo artist, just wanted his family's support and approval, thought he didn't have it, and felt forced to prove his independence. I was glad it was easily resolved. The characters and likable and the plot is fluid.

Manga Fizzled Out but Mangaka has Potential

The story started off really well: great character design, potential for a really good plot, beautiful art and a unique setting. The atmosphere and subtle hints at the dark history were smoothly built in and had a chance for fantastic character development (as much as can be done in a one volume series). However, it all fell flat during chapter 4 when the atmosphere changed too abruptly and the 'dark history' turned out to be more of a lame cop out than a reasonable backstory device. In fact, the story lost its interesting flow and the characters' relationships (familial and romantic) felt too forced. Despite this, it was an enjoyable read- I recommend going into it with a fluff mindset rather than a drama/serious one.

My understanding is this was the mangaka's first original work. I think there is a lot of potential for further stories by this artist.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
We have a kid who leaves home after hearing his brother saying he's not cut for politics. He doesn't find it appropriate to talk about it, leaving your family for such a petty thing is completely natural after all. But it's fine, it's not like his brother and family think it'd be appropriate to go and persuade him to go back either. Fast forward 7 years, it turns out that what his brother said wasn't even that bad, it was rather nice. I was turned off at this point, I have a better tolerance for PWP than for this type of bullshit.

Like others already mentioned, it starts off very well, just to turn into the usual plain yaoi, where everything is just too convenient for everybody.

I am actually surprised by how good this is, tbh I was expecting something with a worse story and tons more drama, but what I got was a cute story with beautiful art! The art really reminds me of the art from the game DRAMAtical Murder which is odd because I have never seen any other artist use a style like it.

Art 10/10
Plot 7/10
Originality/Theme 10/10
Romance 9/10
Would you read it again? Yes I would!

It was rather quick read but it totally got me. Unusual plot and well developed, likeable smart characters, their background, no smut, no stupidity and very beautiful art made it worth to read. I really enjoyed reading, I had fun.
I can complaint that I finished this quickly but a good story mustn't be very long, right? Don't misjudge your need to read more about them with a so-so storyline. The plot is above average, the same is with art and those tattoos... I bet it was hard to draw it exactly the same so many times. The mangaka seem to be very skilful.

If I'm not wrong this is the first manga (tankoubon) of this author, as for the first work it really is something, I can't wait for more.

I was expecting more...

At first the way the story was evolving was really interesting. Even the personality of the main characters were kind of different to the average "yaoi main characters", but it ended up pretty lame. I kind of thought for a moment "Jin is lying for a greater good and Sena is going to know the true in the future and BOOM troubles"... but it resulted to be the real situation... without anymore drama or anything... Too ideal.
As for the development of some characters. I was expecting more when it comes to Sena. I didn't see him as the typical uke, and his attitude was different and mysterious... but it ended up as the typical uke after all. I don't know if the author had planned that ending since the beginning but it felt like she was hurrying the ending there,or that she had lost the interest at the end of the story.

Anyway, the draw is kind of unique and Sena's design made me felt in love. It's like a good and interesting thing to look at, and that calls your attention, but once you're paying FULL attention, it's nothing there to be seeing.
