I really love how the author switches view points between the characters. Normally I don’t. I usually hate it. But maybe because it helps us get a better insight into their wants, it works very well with this story. There’s a lot of flashbacks, which again, is not something I typically enjoy, but I find that it adds to the story in this case and doesn’t hinder it. The characters inner dialogue are varied too, some much more comical than others. (There’s a lot of exploration outside the main two characters and their situation).

That being said, if you don’t like incest, even non blood related, I would not read this considering the Uncle literally raised his nephew (like changed his diapers). Interestingly, it actually feels like a lack of power dynamic considering their relationship but of course, this is a work of fiction.

Sadly, I can’t find the last two volumes translated or the raws, so know that as of 09/2023, you will be left with an incomplete read.

Seriously, I'n obsessed with it. I've read so many yaoi\ shounen-ai manga in my life (read few thousands) and this one is my favorite one!
I can't really explain it.. it's just so special.
Can't recommend enough how good this manga is... Give it a go 🙂

It portrays a 13 y/o to 14 y/o in love with a middle-aged man. It's messed up, but it doesn't display an ounce of self-awareness that it's not okay? It gives the middle-aged uncle the allowance to like the kid back but with a totally fluffy tone? That's repulsive. If I were to read stuff like that, I'd rather it be Nakamura Asumiko's stuff.
I have no idea why it has such a high rating. The romance isn't well written either. There would be no reason that Yuuji would come to like Hayato back. And Hayato's puppy-crush on his uncle is... rather than half-baked, it's barely baked at all.

It would have been much better if the uncle just never figured it out until Hayato was like, 18 at the very least.

Main story is a slow burn.
All the side stories and extras are really cute! Sometimes even more so than the main story. My favorites are the 2nd brother's friend side stories (definitely ship them) and the kun x kun extras.

This is so good so far!! Hayato is just so adorable. Especially at the end of the 3rd chapter, I felt so happy for him ^__^ Though it's clear there's a long way to go still.

But I'm kinda irked at the extra chapter (in between the first and second chapters) just because I feel sorry for that girl now. She deserves love, but she's not going to be able to experience that with Hayato (because, well, he's gay. And in love with his uncle.) So yeah... not much hope there for happiness. So I'm annoyed just because I don't want to see her get heartbroken.

Once again, Hideyoshico-sensei's art is just... wow. It amazes me how much emotion is conveyed in just one panel. The art is so powerful that words aren't all that necessary. Really beautiful.

Rated 9 for now, may change the rating later - so far I love it and can't wait to read more The plot and characters seem pretty fresh, I love their interactions. I really like the older uncle, the fact that he seems pretty serious and mature, yet warm and funny-- can't wait to see how his relationship with the nephew is going to develop. Cool that there is a girl in it, too, and she isn't your usual annoying-girl-in-yaoi-manga. I think the manga is pretty realistic (as expected of Hideyoshico). The art is good, as long as you like this kind of style.

the big brother and his little brother instantly reminded me of shuu and kuranosuke from Kuragehime. if the younger bro crossdresses for any reason i think i'll lose it.

edit: some people are already acting like the main couple has already made out and putting the moves on each other. please. as far as I can see, in volume 3 and with 13 chapters out, the love is still one sided. this relationship is meant to be a super slow burn; we'll probably see more development between the brother and his friend before we see anything with the main! (lol)

honestly I'm loving the slice of life tone of the series so far and the only drama is how individual characters are grappling with their unrequited love. I don't expect the main couple to develop anytime soon and am actually more invested right now in the best friend's love for the brother LOL. kikka is the best character in this whole series and everyone should read this manga just for her.

edit 2: volume 4 and STILL absolutely no developments between Yuuji and Hayato. This isn't a complaint. I'm glad it's this way. We even got a time skip, but from what the scanlators and volume 4 cover are insinuating, we aren't even going to focus on either Yuuji or Hayato (more brother and his bestie action maybe? YES).

It seems that people are here complaining either that a 14 year old and an adult shouldn't get together (it didn't happen) or that the nephew's relationship isn't clearly defined and developed with his uncle (they aren't an item! it's still developing! zero romance right now!). I'm baffled. If anything, this story reminds me of a much less sexual Super Lovers with actual side plots and less amnesia.
