Needed more!

Lots of one-shots put into one manga with lots of different art styles and grim perspectives on a zombie outbreak, none of them are long enough to get invested into the zombie world or characters. I didn't really care for any of them but they are interesting because of the grim take to the stories. The ones that stood out to me was the Story 2 with the sister, because that ending quote was grim but matched well with the harsh reality. Story 3 with the kids, also had the same effect and that poor dog; r.i.p. Otherwise look elsewhere for a zombie manga that has a good story-line, but this is lots of one-shots so it doesn't take long to finish the manga.

it depends on your taste, i think. for example i think no 4 is pretty good because its quite subtle but it seems a lot of people dont like it. and no 8 is disappointment because it rely too much on the art, not the characters or the plot.
so in short you have to read this and pass judgement on your own. its short so you wont be disappointed even if none is to your liking.

Well, I must admit that this is the first "pure" zombie manga I've read.
The only other comic is The Walking Dead, which I really enjoy.
I do watch a lot of zombie movies, but still, I don't have much to compare this collection to.
All the stories are grim, filled with terror and dark ambiance, as they should.
Every author took a different approach to the zombie myth, which I liked.
From gore all over the place, to just the hint that's something's wrong with people talking (which was plain creepy).
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Though I did find the dog and cat killing somewhat unnecessary (but that's just me...)

I tried to keep my opinions spoiler free:

I especially liked story 1 (And I Love Her) which had really interesting art and a creepy & fittingly scary ambiance and development.
Story 2 (Dead and Fail to Die) had unfitting art, in my opinion, but a somewhat interesting concept.
Story 3 (Children Living With Corpses) wasn't bad, probably my second favorite. From the art to the way the story was executed.
Story 4 (Zombie) was simply dubbed and especially creepy. Would have liked to see more.
Story 5 (Forest of Spirits) didn't especially enjoy the rather obvious turn of events, but the concept was interesting.
Story 6 (Zombie Boy) was kind of... I don't know, out there. Not bad, but very random and comic, something that didn't go well with the mood set by the rest of the stories.
Story 7 (Fight of the Living Dead) was scary. One second you're ok... The next you're not.
Story 8 (Organic Human Solution Organogel) I feel like this might have used a couple more chapters to develop properly, but the art was interesting.

The pinnacle for me was the art inserts... Especially this one.
And the cover art.
It's a shame both artists didn't write any stories for this collection.
I also liked the typesetting style for this, with different fonts and all (I read illuminati's version).

All in all, if you like horror and zombies, I think this is worth your time.
It's not long, and rather entertaining.
