The initial plot of the story was intriguing. I've always been interested stories about reincarnation and past lives, but it's a shame Shushushu-sensei doesn't properly utilize it. Towards the end, the plot just quickly unraveled itself and just became about how the main heroine and male lead get together. As soon as they get together, boom, the story ends abruptly even though there are a lot of loose ends. Even the romance wasn't interesting. It can just be summarized as:

Main Guy: Oh no, she is girl! Must be aloof and also hide feelings.
Main Girl: His aloofness and lack of properly conveying his feelings hurt my feelings!!! He must hate me!1!
Main Guy: Oops, apologies.
Repeat multiple times

Sakurai Shushushu draws nice art, but seriously lacks in the storyline department. I've read a lot of her BL mangas, and although this manga is significantly better than her other stories, it still lacks polish and proper pacing.

The story started out great, with the reincarnation thing going on. There were some great historical characters in the story and I was expecting something good. However, the author did not make use of the background of the characters nor their history. Instead of battling out like real men, the characters used petty tricks to scheme against each other in order to win. In the end, this turns out to be just a boring love drama storyline. Not worth reading. I'll rate this lower if not for the great art.

first 2 volumes were sorta the 4th volume, the reader had to wonder "WTH?" despite how good the guys look. There is no real....plot/resolution...but it could've been worse...the main character was not horribly weak, but at least didn't need to be "saved."

TBH I only powered through this manga because I saw that it was short (20 chapters) and you can tell that the mangaka is a talented many much eye candy +_+. But the plot was weak and the last chapter was all jumbled together. Lots of eye rolling moments and cliche scenes, but I'm a sucker for great art.
