Just 2 words. Fullmetal Alchemist
The one shot's background is almost exactly like FMA's.
Boys on quest + "sin" + abilities trying to fix the problem. Find enemy, attack, win while revealing in the process to people who think they are good guys how they are actually "sinners".
The concept is different, somewhat. But it needs a good solid storyline to push through. Especially since FMA is still so fresh in most people's minds.
