wasn't as heart-wrenching as I'd expected it to be. I glossed over the pages sometimes. There was enough angst considering its short length, but what struck me was the
Sex was ok. There was one good scene where it was linked to emotional attachment/intimacy. I thought that was nice. It's always good to distinguish between the primal act and making love. There was mild character development (?), but it wasn't expounded on.

But if we're talking about a well-written story with good pacing and interesting characters then nah, this one is not it. I was not surprised to learn that it is the mangaka's first ever serialisation that spanned a whole full volume because she clearly is not experienced at keeping a tight pacing for the story as it goes on for longer than just a couple chapters, which is what she's usually used to. I didn't care for the characters that much either; other than their dramatic tendencies and the constant "I love you!!" declarations every chapter, what personalities or development did they really have? Honestly the reason this manga got such high ratings is all thanks to the wishy-washy moral lessons whose execution still needs a lot of work to make it more special than just your average lecture about LGBT like this one is.
