Description
At the end of Meiji Restoration, a girl saint was crucified and burnt alive under persecution.

A century later, Katori and six childhood friends are summoned to her world beyond the nirvana, where they receive the Great Commission: Build a kingdom, and make disciples of all nations.

At every midnight, each of them are randomly given a role out of King/Queen, Noble, and Peasants. As the lowly must obey a higher-up in the hierarchy, can they fight and defeat other nations to conquer the world--before infighting brought up by their own hidden desires breaks them apart?

I gave it points because I liked the concept and it kept me interested. The execution was poor though, with most plot points being abandoned after their introduction - we saw barely anything about the powers, the real world content about fighting/taking over other kingdoms was stopped pretty abruptly, in the second stage most of the new characters were done away with in a clump and we never found put anything about them, the powers were forgotten with no comment in the second stage, and the ending doesn’t resolve the second stage satisfactorily. The main characters are dull and poorly developed and the most interesting character is an enemy, though that seems fairly common for these shounens where the ML is a ‘leader’, i.e. inevitably vanilla character who we’re told is really cool and great but does little to demonstrate that. Not bad if you’re looking to fill some time but don’t expect greatness, and be prepared for an excess of contrived ecchi in the first half.

Premise of the story is interesting, but poorly executed. The characters don't act realistically at all (even for a manga), which is pretty important considering that this is a PSYCHOLOGICAL manga. I mean,
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
a schoolmate gets brutally murdered within the first few chapters. Poor girl was just used as a plot device so the rest of the group could learn about revolutions. Her character was the typical "don't-stick-your-dick-in-crazy"-psychotic-murderous-hot-girl. And it wasn't even established why she was so fascinated with him. He had basically nothing to offer anyone at the beginning of the series (and still doesn't, pretty much), but we're just supposed to believe that she was obsessed with him to point of being okay with killing five of her classmates.

And the belligerent long-haired dude. Ugh. His lack of fear, combined with poor impulse control, leads him to attack any random person that his pea-brain can't understand, including clearly magical beings. If someone this trigger-happy and violent existed in real life, they would end up in juvy/a correctional facility VERY quickly. Not to mention that he only seems to attack at random times, aka whenever the author feels like he should be punching somebody.

Oh, and Yuri. The FIRST thing she does after meeting the new kingdom? Grope the queen and do a forced-lesbo scene in front of five strangers, OF COURSE. And because she's so kind and world-weary, she's going to shoot herself in the head to give another kingdom a small advantage in the game, right after murdering three of her own classmates. Where are their parents? Do they not have to go to school? Has anyone noticed multiple teenagers have suddenly vanished into thin air? WHAT IS THE ADMINISTRATION DOING?

I could write a lot more about the know-it-all why-is-he-even-the-leader MC. Seriously, 80% of all he does is have a constipated look on his face. And of course every character with a vagina will fall in love with him. But I'm tired of writing. Anyway, the point is that the manga would benefit HEAVILY from a mangaka that has an actual understanding of psychology, especially the psychology of fourteen-year-olds. It would be a better manga if it didn't try to take itself so seriously.

Well.. I vouch for this series. Perverted and interesting enough. I've always liked the real nature of humans under such circumstances. Also having rules to follow (like in a baseball game) allow for great plot twists and moments of "what is he going to do next", for example: Liar Game, One Outs, etc (although this series is NOT on that level).

Only 6 chapters, but I think there are a lot of things that can be done with something like this.. we'll see where it goes.

This is good stuff which might seem shallow and repetitive at first but the deeper you go, you'll find that things aren't as they seem.

Currently, only 2 chapters have been released but suffice to say the end of Chapter 2 will have you hooked onto the series.
