Description
From September Scanlations:

While he cannot explain it, Udou Ryuuji is absolutely certain of one thing: he loathes Kujou Ritsuki from the very core of his being. There's just something about his good looks and the way he flirts and has all the girls eating out of his hand that pisses Ryuuji off royally—so when he accidentally discovers the deep dark secret behind Ritsuki's part-time job, he's of course going to milk it for all it's worth...right?

Too much attempted

I think way too much information gets thrown out and none of it really gets fleshed out? I do see that there's potentially more story to be told, but my interest wasn't really grabbed at any point. Characters look a bit generic and plot points feel real trope-y.

I was looking for a light read to fill some time and stumbled across this little jewel. The characters manage to really engage the reader, even as they present initially as cookie-cutter personalities. The mangaka throws in just enough curve balls to make the story & characters feel fresh and relatable. I’m hoping scanlations get picked up for V2+ as I’d love to see how the relationship continues to build among all characters.

I honestly wasn’t expecting to like it much as it is intentionally set up with several cliches (school life, host/hostess, attempted rape, yakuza). However, I was impressed with the way the mangaka managed to balance over-the-top cliches with authentic emotions. It made the characters feel real while still leaving room for the comedy or drama of the situations.

As an example, I normally hate how attempted rape is portrayed in manga, especially shounen ai/yaoi genres. However,

not only did Kujou express his revulsion and let the shock show after he escaped the attack, but Udou actually comforts him in a friendly, non-sexual way. They even discuss bringing it to the attention of the police (just before yakuza step in to ‘solve’ the problem).
A far more realistic depiction than most manga of this genre type.

Overall, I highly recommend it. Just pick it up knowing it’ll be an open-end with lots of potential for great things to come.

The beginning certainly doesn't deserve the 9 I've given it. But by the end of volume 1 I was so into it and the build up of these two boys feelings for each other culminated into something fantastic! Rarely does manga make me feel so much tension and makes me giddy almost like I'm the one who is somehow ending up all confused and making out with someone I've got the hots for. I'm really anticipating the continuation!

I liked this! The plot isn't unique; the two leads are thrown together with a secret and a relationship develops from there. But I found it endearing and was cheering them on when they

FINALLY KISSED FFFFFF.

The art is very clean-looking and pretty; it grew on me a lot. I ended up liking the characters more than expected. The leads are a genial charmer and a cute tsundere (and I usually dislike tsundere characters). I actually liked all the supporting characters, too!

All in all, it's a pretty by-the-book yaoi manga, but it's cute. I'm looking forward to the next volume.

Nothing special but i can't really say it's bad or good maybe just decent. It's a type of story that i easily forget and i can say one of the only thing that good is the translation not the story...it's probably just me or i'm just too 'tired' of 'typical' type of characters in this manga but, hey, it's only my opinion. Well, it's not finish yet but i maybe change my opinion later if there's are unexpected development of the plot, characters...?

Not finished

This is only the first volume, so people should expect a bit of a cliffhanger/unfinished feeling at the end of Volume 1. The author explicitly states in the back of the book that there is more to come, so while it might take a little time (because the only publishes ever couple of months in Chara magazine) it's definitely not finished smile
