Description
Rinne, a huge fan of Buddhism, was searching for a "monk-type," a boy as calm, intelligent and diligent as Lord Buddha himself, when she set her sights on a young, handsome monk-in-training, Yuuryou. She soon learns that this kid, out of his robes, is not her dream boy, but a shallow, irresponsible lady killer who goes by Yura. Is Rinne going to give up on her fantasy, or is there more to Yura than meets the eye?

One girl's attempt at preventing a monk from reaching Nirvana

Dude was enlightened as fuck in the first chapter. Infinite love, no envy, and total inner peace. Then comes shoujo girl to make him a lustful, jealous, monogamist. Poor guy. This should be a cautionary tale for Buddhists.

Before I knew it I found myself simply skimming straight to the end. I didn't hate the story to simply put the book down, but I didn't really find it interesting enough to hold my attention.

You have your typical female who just falls for the guy because the plot said so, you have the unrequited love character because this is a shoujo, and you have the male lead who was a bit different since he was a monk.

It wasn't a long read so it doesn't hurt to peek at and see if you like it.

It's a unique manga, yes. I felt that way during the starting chapters. But somehow it became typical later on. Idrk. But the manga is very cute and sweet, and even though the guy is a player, he is a nice guy. And come on.... I won't even call that sort of thing 'playing'.

The girl is sort of childish. I recommend the manga anyway. It's a cute, short read. ^^

The plot is certainly a unique one for me, a girl liking her guys to be like Buddha and emanating a calm, soorthing atmosphere. She finally meets one... only he's more Don Juan during his off hours than devoted. Or so it seems... It's not got me hooked completely coz the girl feels a little too impulsive and child-like, but it's definitely a story worth checking out. Art's an added bonus.
