I’m a victim of bullying and abuse and had been hurting myself since then. Reading this manga made me cry and I remember my ptsd. It’s Eiji’s mother’s fault for being too naive and stupid for falling in love with a guy who rejected her despite getting pregnant with his child, and I loath Sakaguchi‘s step-father for being a peverted pedophile. I’m glad Sakaguchi and Eiji got justice at the end. However, one sex scene is too poor.

Tho the story was not properly developed, but it's great for a 6 chapter manga!!! I loooooove how gentle the seme is and how wild the uke is lol. The emotion was properly conveyed (tho i don't get why he the seme had to leave exactly AFTER the incident happened Idk tho) but great stuff overall!!!

I read this 6-7 years ago and I really liked it, I'm pretty sure I've even re-read it back then (perhaps more than once, haha). Maybe it's no good for others, but to this day it can still move me. Back then, I probably cried my heart out; today is just this suffocating and painful feeling, but at the same time it makes me happy and content.

I just can't believe I've been postponing this since..... forever, was it? I think it was the cover that frightened me, ahah. It was - by no means - a nice read. More like painful, really, but perhaps the kind of pain Chiaki would like, the one that pulls on your heartstrings and fills you with some kind of cold, sharp warmth. I agree that there are a lot of clichés going on, but the thing is you won't feel the need to stop and think and care for them if you get to grasp these characters genuinely. The boys, I mean. I found them so painfully and deliciously morose, yet sweet and always consistent in their wickedness, I really didn't care for clichés. Expect, perhaps, for that of the step-dad, who really needed to be fleshed out more. He was as flat and hard as a brick in the end of the day. No pun intended.

I still liked it very, very much. The art is lovely.

This is one of my top 5 yaoi manga. Great and VERY unique manga. I read it like 8 times already and every single time I wouldn't get bored. I actually paid a lot ,ore attention after the first time I read it. It's just great! Every yaoi lover has to read this!!!

I highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to read a yaoi that is a bit of a tear-jerker.
It deals with some really dark themes so it's not for the faint hearted.
The relationship of the two characters really grows as the series continues...at the beginning I found it hard to believe that the characters were going to find comfort in eachother but the story progressed so naturally that by the end it was totally obvious to me
The reason I gave this 9/10 instead of the full 10 was simply because the art is not something I would usually look for...it's a bit older in style than some yaoi, and the dark themes can be a little unsettling.
But yeah...I loved it! By the end, it was really cute and it is one of the few yaoi where the love between characters is definitely evident :3.

Some people might say that this manga is too dark...but i think it was the most touching yaoi manga i've ever read. It had a perfect balance between the hotness and the plot. It actually had an interesting plot, unlike other yaoi mangas where they have nothing but sex the whole time. But the sex scenes were also very sexy

And most importantly, Kawai sensei did a very great job in flowing the story so that the readers can really see the growth in each of the characters emotional problems from their pasts and growth in their relationship. This had some scenes where it made me cry because i pitied the characters so much, but at the end i cried again because I was so happy for them. Even after i finished, i kept reading it over and over. It really leaves a impression in your mind and keeps you thinking throughout the night.

The only thing is that i wish it could have been longer to really show the details of the twos relationship.

Overall, I really recommend this book to anyone who loves a touching story with a happy ending!

I love yaoi and have read many so believe me when I say that this yaoi manga is one of the good ones out there. It is dark but the whole point is that it gets better The love story between the two main characters is very real and believable. I saw it this way; they saved each other from darkness. The ending was also very sweet and I felt satisfied. I recommend.

I don't understand how this series got such high ratings. It's below average in all aspects (thus, my rating is 4; though I considered rating it 1 just to try and balance things a little). Art is nothing special, sketchy and rough, there wasn't a single panel that made me stop reading and just watch and admire for a while like it happens often with other manga. Plot consists mainly of clichés following neatly one after another. Dark past, childhood traumas, abusive lover, gentle lover, cold family, loving family, self abuse, being abused by others... it would take 10+ volumes to develop such a content heavy story properly.
All in all, not a series I would recommend.
