I give 9 for the art and the ambience, 3 for the story. Giving 6 is still too good, that's why 5. My score for average manga is 6 to 7. So, if you just read this series for the art, you'll likely give it a good score. As for the story goes, better read average shoujo yo. The theme on early chapters are about social issue where the girls spending their time on the street, scamming money from adult men. By the middle of the story, this issue is completely gone, not even her friend makes appearance anymore. MC's character becomes childish... complaining about this and that. By the end of the story, it's "suddenly" revealed about daddy long leg who is paying for her daily allowances (seriously what the). As it is to explain who is paying for her living expenses... Still, she doesn't go to school though. And this daddy wants to adopt her, makes her go to england and then she will inherit the mansion. The mansion itself only got barely minimum explanation through the entire series. It seems like it is a place like asylum... there are a bunch of people living there with mental baggages. Though the second guy looks completely normal and capable working in society. @_@
Mytskine said, standard shoujo cliche plot. I said less than standard shoujo, badly written.

Standard shoujo, cliché plot

After seeing so many laudatory comments, I feel compelled to point out why a minority of readers put scores below 5. I admit I've read only the first half, it was so boring that I just took glances through the remaining pages.

This is the story of a girl that lives alone. Her path crosses that of two guys, a cool and dark one, and a lively and ambiguous one. Romance follows. The side characters are as thin as air.

The beginning is good, with an interesting focus on a subject hardly seen in shoujo manga. Unfortunately, after two chapters, the manga follows a traditional plot. The whole situation is totally unbelievable, to a point the mangaka does not even try to explain it. A seventeen years old girl is leaving alone in a flat: why is she alone? Even with no family, this should not happen. Where does she find enough money to pay the rent and the other expenses?

The psychology is unrealistic. The main character starts with a single friend. They go through strong moments together, yet the MC soon decides that keeping away would be better, and the friend immediately disappears from the story. I don't know many people that would throw away their only friend. Even so, I was expecting a parting scene or at least a partng call. The manga focused on the three main characters and that's it. In the second volume, as the story was getting dimmer, side characters were introduced.

First thing i would say is: I don't like shoujo and especially the female leads but this manga was not what i had expected....

The plot was okay but the excution was done really well. The art was also really good and so were the characters. I dont usually like the female leads in shoujo because most of them are usually dense but i loved the female lead in this manga because they showed her very strong and smart.

Everything was good; it had a lot of potential....however, the ending kind of sucked...

It just didn't end well but still, it was a great manga

I would recommend this if you don't have a thing for shoujo

theres a lot of unanswered questions especially toward the end. however, this is mangazition of novel, so it is understandable for more in-depth story one need to read the books. still, it is great as it is with beautiful airy art and engaging characters. plus point for the translation, they did a great job making them sound so upbeat.

It gives you a josei-ish feeling even being a shoujo, due the fact that the guys are all young adults while only the girl is a teenager (who doesn't go to school). Overall, it's a nice and refreshing love triangle. A well developed story with some mysteries to unveil. As a shoujo fan, i must say this one has became one of my favorites.

Good, but....

This manga is really interesting and unique in both art and content, so I really enjoyed it. From the very first chapter you can tell its going to be heavy, but its protrayed so you rethink it...And then wham; the heaviness attacks again! You can't help but feel attracted to Yusei. He's a pretty bad mess when you first see him (emotionally, though it just seems he's a arrogant poop head)...And you have to wonder, can he ever come back from seeing his first love kill herself?

In all honesty, there were times when I wanted to smack Yusei (The male MC). Other times I wanted to hug him. People say that he Kizuma wasnt a good fit for him, yet as I saw it...She was the best thing that could have happened to him. I even believe he met Minako so that he would someday meet Kizuna. Though I do feel bad for Yuki...(I really liked him... Though in the beginning I felt as though he was thrown in for the sake of a love triangle and that the author only later decided he was actually a guy)

There were only a few problems that annoyed me, the first and foremost being the execution of the plot. I found that little snippets and bits were strewn in without any real explanation. Such as Yusei and Yuki's mothers and fathers, their little siblings. You never learn about Kizuna's past and the "daddy long legs" doesnt come into the story until you're like; Wut?

Still, it was worth the read.

Really different, but...

I haven't really read anything like this; the main character is very uniquely characterized, and so is the setting and plot. The characters are all special in their own way; they have individual traits and pasts that make them who they are. Still, with that being said, I didn't really enjoy this. The art was lovely and varied, and here was a nice bit of humor along with the drama and romance... but I just didn't like it!

I totally understand why other people love this, since it's definitely a high quality work, but I guess I didn't like Kizuna all that much. She was a great character, but I don't think she fits with Asai well, since she'll never really understand him. Plus, I feel bad for Yuki, who's awesome, and suits Kizuna more. Speaking of her, Kizuna's character is strong and unique, but also young, inexperienced, and sort of selfish. She's very realistic, overall... just not my cup of tea. She's still young, so it's understandable, but I find her to be inconsiderate and mean sometimes. I also find Asai to be like that, as well- he doesn't consider Kizuna's feelings, and even at the end, he

Asks her to wait for him even though he says he might never love only her? C'mon, man. That's a little callous.

Basically, this might be up your alley, it just wasn't up mine- the characterization is great, the plot is incredibly unique for a romance shoujo, and there's a lot of psychological stuff that's done pretty well. The art is also good, and suits the story well. With that being said, I didn't like this- even if it's a "different" romance story, it's still a romance story... and I don't think it's a very good one. The two main characters don't connect very well, and I don't know if they could ever be truly happy together. Also, I happen to like Yuki much more than I like Asai, so that makes me like the main couple even less. Still, that's personal opinion- I can't deny this is a well-thought out and well-executed manga. Just not for me.

I loved this manga. I liked the characters, the art, etc.

But my one problem was that it didn't dive into the main characters background. I just wanted to her know how and where she got her strong character.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The had one page which they hinted at her witnessing some abuse and they also mentioned that her mother was dead, but they never told us exactly what happened to her.

Also the guy's families seemed to have some problems, but they never really dealt with it. I felt bad for the two kids. All this could have been dealt with if the story was a bit longer.

It was a very good story and I loved his character, it was fantastic. Kizuna's characterization was good as well. However realistically speaking I don't think the relationship would work out between them. I am all for romance in a story, and she is very pretty but like it was mentioned earlier (kind of) in the story, that he has quite a few hang ups and their are some problems going on with him right now. In the future it working out, I suppose it's possible. But for me I didn't see the chemistry. (Course I may be biased cause I never liked her character, even though it was good characterization.) Don't get me wrong, I like her character in some ways, I just don't like her.. with him.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
This struck a chord with me because I'm pretty similar to him, she just doesn't understand him, not really. If it were me, I would never want some one like her.
