Although a truly gifted hairstylist, Kiri Koshiba has no interest in using her talent to pursue fame and fortune, unlike the three popular boys in the "Scissors Project" at school. Determined to become the best makeover team in Japan, they give showy makeovers to handpicked girls. As much as Kiri tries to shy away from the Scissors Project spotlight, she finds herself responding to beauty's call...
Note: Beauty Pop Stage 2 is from volume 7 to 10. It is a continuation of Beauty Pop. This is because they were published after the hiatus. The whole series ends with 10 volumes.

This manga has satisfied me. It was funny, sad at times, and put a smile on my face. I love how they did the 10 year skip because when i was on the last chapter i was "oh god! why does it have to end this way". OuO i gonna find another one like this OuO
Most manga I read, I'll drop them because of poor story work or the characters blush super easily and are conceited. But Kiri was the ideal character I always wanted, you think she's normal and your average girl, but she was the daughter of famous people and act like it's nothing, but for Narumi and his arrogance and the art, he pulls it off and instead of annoying me, it makes me laugh so hard I can't breathe😓 Too much words
good characters, bad theme
Story Story is really something that doesnít interest me, so point taken. Club at school makes make up and other stuff, hair most important. They always took everything so seriously. Also the whole manga was making "being pretty" a thing. Like, the hell, being confident means you are confident without being pretty. jeez. So I really didnít like the story. The romance wasnít developed enough for my liking. Also, they were all guys in that club. In reality, such thing as fashion is more or less for girls. And this drama on the various contests. I think it would be better to make them lose sometime. They won every time.
Art Art was good, easy to tell the characters apart and cute. Old men were drawn really strange though. I think I donít like the eyes she draws, but still better than average shoujo.
Characters Very good point of this manga. The main girl (Kiri) is incredible. Dull and boring. Not that thatís bad. She never cried, yay. the guys were made also nice, but nothing remarkable. I lied Ochiai most, of course. My type of person, also, he was so tragically cute in his attempts to stalk or only touch Kiri. Poor bastard. Before he liked her, he was boring though.
Enjoyment Yes, very good. Could be less contests and more everyday life. But still one of better shoujos. I was chearing for Ochiai though. But it was obvious from the start that she will end with Narumi.
I liked it but the ending kinda majorly sucked
It was pretty good and was actually very cute, but the ending was NOT the best it could have been. It wasn't one that left me reeling or dissatisfied. My thoughts when the 'last page' notice on the Mango app popped up was, "You seriously couldn't do better than that?" The rest is pretty entertaining.
All cliches, no substance. The characters are not that interesting after the first one or two volumes, and the development is minimal. Some of the annoying cliches repeat over and over again. Like pointless competitions or "TIME IS RUNNING OUT". Legendary scissors for some stupid reason... The ending fits the series perfectly. It's just as mediocre as the rest of it. It feels like the author read too much shounen manga and picked worst things out of it to use repeatedly in a story that doesn't need them. Maybe, if I was into the theme of this manga, I could give it one more point, but I'm not. And one more point only makes it 6/10, which is not good. If you're into haircutting and beautification, and you have read everything else, go ahead. Otherwise skip this manga.
the romamce is basically onesided xD
There is basically no romance at all except for the guy having a crush.. I really like this manga bc its xtremely funny and the main character is so nonchalant about everything. Which make me wonder about the proposal: how did he propose? Boy: hey..mar--marry me (kinda scream after saying that with blush all over) Girl: (eating her riceball) uhm okay... (continue eating her riceball)
All time favorite female lead
This is a manga I always reread for two reasons: its length and the characters. Kiri is by far one of the best female protagonists ever. The plot isn't even that good and it even gets repetitive. The art is not the best either. But Kiri, the character, is just so cool she makes the whole manga worth it.
well i really liked this manga, nearly everything about it was great, the only thing i didn't like was the romance, i mean it was basically non-existent, i think the romance tag should have been taken off and romantic-subplot category tag added instead
Cute and funny
I loved this series. The only downside with it was that it ended too quickly. I think the author just tried to wrap it up as fast as she could in the end. I would've liked the ending chapters to be a bit fuller. As in, longer chapters and dragging on the story a little bit more. The fact that there were no more chapters to read made me so surprised, since it didn't feel like an ending right there.
Apart from that it was really cute, some places were so bizarre though. To think that the world of "high-school-beauticians" could be so serious haha.
for you who thinnks that this is an all over romance manga; it's not. It's mostly comedy, but it is adorbale in it's own little way. it reminds me a lot of My Heavenly Hockey Club.

I wish I the author would've put a bigger emphasis on the Iori/Chisami commbo, because their personalities together makes an incredible comedy duo. I laughed my but of in the last chapter when you got to see those morons fighting. Funny and adorable haha.
i agree that this is lovely but i don't think there is enough to qualify it as romance. we never understand how or why the two leads end up together. i still don't think she likes him that way.
