The world isn't always consistent or deep, but the character interactions in down time make up for it

It can be frustrating at time, considering the implications of the Irises and how the society in-universe acts, that the author doesn't spend more time on it to show us further parts of it or keep element internally consistent.
Additionally, the drama is questionable written... Some characters get away with doing, frankly terrible things and even get to join the main friend group with no recourse. Characters act like morons to further the plot, and some stuff just flat-out doesn't make sense.
The one thing this series really has going for it is the slice of life and comedy in the downtime between arcs. Character interactions are very cute and frankly I would like the series a lot more if it just focused on that.
If I were to compare it to another series, it has very similar vibes to ReLIFE so I would recommend it if you like this, or vice versa.

I am actually surprised of all the people commenting, i thought it would not be so popular.
Regarding the series itself, it is an excellent read, but after the hiatus the author went through, i felt the manga changed to something else when he returned, and mixed with the erratic releases with dubious quality, i slowly lost interest.
I might give it another try when the whole thing gets officially released.

I really liked this manga. I followed it since 2010 when I started reading a lot of manga at online reading site, so it is one of them first series that I read. I really enjoyed the mystery and the characters in it. I mean the mystery was really full of twist and every single one of those characters were likeable. I kinda saw how the manga will go as I saw a new character introduced and the manga turned into a school life love triangle drama. And as the story progressed, it went to what I expected. A great manga that I worshiped has turned into something I despise the most. Still I have kept reading it till now since I liked the two main characters and want to know what happens to them. But I think I must put this one on-hold and wait until it's finished.

read it first,, BAKA! (lol)
read its category too..
and I don't suggest for you to read the manga that its genre (or its category) doesn't suit you..
if you do - read - some manga that its genre is not the usual one that you read, I suggest you to clear your mind first,, and prepare yourself for anything that will not suit your taste. and if there really is something that doesn't suit you, it was your own fault (that read something that doesn't suit you), if that so, please, you might want hold yourself from giving any bad comments.
But, if it really is the genre that you usually like to read, and you think it's bad. please, don't hold yourself to state it. But, you might want to make your comment, as 'neutral' as possible, so that no new reader will backed out from reading it..

The beginning showed promise, then it turned into just another dung pile shounen slice of life. Despite how hard the mangaka might try to convince you otherwise, the characters have NO DEPTH. All of the main characters are the same type of person -- misunderstood saints surrounded by a thick layer of teenage angst and emotional traumatic backstory. Everyone else is a faceless nameless bully that is simply incapable of seeing how ~omigod kewl&sweet and soooo smart the mc is!!!!~ and that's it. There are no fights, just "misunderstandings".
And to mention THE GAPING PLOT HOLES everywhere. Swiss cheese is smoother than this storyline. Do you really expect me to believe the government -- any government, in fact -- would let teenagers with SUPERPOWERS live like normal people? Or that the kids themselves would live their lives like they don't have the ability to see when their friends are backstabbing them, only bringing up their irises when it's convenient? There are so many things just plain wrong about this manga; the level of suspension of disbelief required to read this manga is god-like. And I've read and enjoyed much more unbelievable stuff; the difference was that they never took themselves too seriously. Not once in the ~18 chapters I read did anyone (at least in-story) acknowledge just how ridiculous the whole thing was (not even a little prodding self-referential humor) -- it blew my mind that the author could so earnestly and so seriously write something this bad.
This is the kind of story that a thirteen-year-old girl who's just started taking a creative writing class and is trying to be "deep" would write. And it doesn't matter how many times death or suicide is mentioned -- the greatest tragedy never be anything more than a broken heart and some hurt feelings.
This is the last time I ever let ratings dictate my reading choices.

It's like "the blind chicken is king among the one-eyed." I know I just bungled that up on purpose.
Great art, slice-of-life feel. If you're looking for full out suspense and angst this is not for you. I like this peaceful feeling though.
(recommended for Natsume Yuujinchou fans like me!)

I hate hate characters that are too idealistic and nice, especially when combined with pushiness. I don't mind a feel good manga, but geez, I need to see some more evil if this story's going to be about powers. The entire main cast is too nice for my liking. Characters do have background stories, but it's honestly really shallow. Maybe I'll give it a try again later on, but I seriously don't care about the characters.

Not bad, but there are things I find a bit questionable.
Since everybody has an Iris, I'm surprised the world isn't a more corrupt place. Everything feels too normal when people can have the ability to see lies, death omens, and true feelings. I expected the setting to be a bit more edgy but I guess I'm thinking too much into this.
Overall the series was interesting, other then their nose and egg head, I think the art is alright. It's a nice read.

At first, I really, really liked this manga. The characters and the whole 'iris' idea are really good and well developed. However, as it progresses, the manga seems to be turning into just a story about a high school romance. I have nothing against that but I was rather disappointed that this wonderful idea was starting to turn into a regular love story. The world that the author created seems so unique... Yet, the author is now focusing on the high school crushes rather than how the characters progress and deal with their unique abilities as well as not having one.
For me, I can distinctly see how this manga has turned from an exciting adventure with new worlds into just a shoujo manga. I really hope that, once this whole love thing has calmed down, it will return to being the manga that is was in the beginning.
I can see myself starting to avoid reading this if it continues to keep on focusing so much about the romance, but for those of you who like shoujo manga, I definitely think this manga is something to consider.

So far, up until the latest chapter (chapter 29) it has been an amazing experience to read this manga. I like the idea that each person has an unique ability (aka iris) and the characters are so full emotions and stuff. In my opinion this is probably one of the top 10 manga I have read.
MY favorite part of this manga is not the characters or the drawing (even though they are really well done) but rather the story and the plot. The author have done a great job putting up the plot, the chapters doesn't end to cliffhangy but you still really want to read the next chapter. Everything is perfectly planned.
