Love this

Upon reading this manga a 2nd time i came to love it even more. This manga in particular isn't just an fluffy love story but is instead kind of like a fairy tale with love, action and adventure. I think when i first read it i was just looking for something fluffy which is why i rated it a point lower originally. Being much older than i was when i first read it i enjoyed it much more. I had just finished rereading midnight secretary and remembered how in love i was with the artists style, so i came hear to reread another manga by them. Midnight Secretary is of course still the best but this is also a very good work by the artist and would recommend giving it a read

Dragged On Too Long

I usually say that a manga is missing some detail or other.. But this one I find had a bit too much and tons of repetitive pages that I don't find amusing to read constantly.. The smut scenes were a bit out of place to be honest.. Art was modern. Sexy eyes. Nice hair.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
starts with a girl arguing about getting An arranged marriage to a guy she is not find of since childhood.. Then shortly after she finds out he has a curse on him that is trying to kill him and has killed the heirs before him... The story is basically them being chased by the curse and figuring out the curse at the same time.. With all this side stuff. Like she owns a shop with friends.. He likes flowers.. She's gets kidnapped and meets some other people.. Then it's like 100% weird... Has random smut scenes ... Then is full on spiritual... People are getting possessed by the curse everywhere. They are talking to the ancestors before him and getting their help.. There is one that kinda hot that helps them the most.. Then she finds out she is the other half of the curse.. The friend she has has the same bloodline as her husbands... They go through this mushy stuff about her trying to set the curse lady free. Then the powerful ghost fell in love with her through death... Then the girl is pregnant.. And all is well.. Ending: th in the future with their kids and the ghosts are still watching out for them..

Pure Heaven

Ohmi Tomu Sensei is so amazing, I seriously love her works. And just like her other works Yuzuki and Seri are a match made in heaven.

Let me start off by saying that Seri is not the average weak female lead. She doesn't like it when people make decisions for her. She made her own decisions and stuck by them. She has confidence and overcame what she was afraid of. And between the two she was the one whose family was rich not the male lead. And although Yuzuki was not rich, did not know any kind of hand to hand combat, and loved flowers he was not weak by any means.

These two act the way a real loving couple should. There is no misunderstandings between them, they know how deeply the other loves them, they know each other's worries, and they support each other. They are so similar to a real couple I know who are exactly like that and how I want my marriage to be if I get married. This is a welcome change compared to the usual misunderstandings and drama that happen in most mangas of this kind. My only wish was that it was longer.

Actually...

I prefer Midnight Secretary than this one. Although the plot was pretty interesting but somehow the story lacks something. I'm not sure what, but when I read it...something feels weird or empty. However, at first I didn't really like Seri because of her stubbornness (I dislike characters like that) but slowly, I find her really captivating and she's pretty brave, even though she's afraid of the ghosts.

It's enjoyable at least, but I do prefer Midnight Secretary which has deeper plot. It's still a good read, mind you. smile

Aww I'm so happy with the series. I love the art, the characters, the story... Just about everything!!! I loved that it no matter how much Seri fought it, Yuzuru loved her to no end. Even when she had her doubts about whether he would continue to love her, he dispelled them all. The supernatural bits were ok as well, it wasn't too frightening or too soft. It was just about right :-) Anyways I almost didn't want it to end haha

Not Compelling For Characters But Try If You Love Mysteries
by MightyMaeve

The art is beautiful, competently arranged for sequential art storytelling, but there was just something lacking with the characters and their stories. I didn't feel connected with either the wife or the husband. I also didn't feel their connection between each other. Everything felt flat and forced.

The mystery was boring for me--I didn't care about finding the answer to the curse at all. Funny thing is, I think the mystery trumped the character interpersonal development. So, it was destined to be a dull read for me.

I enjoyed Midnight Secretary far more. Although that story was outrageously over the top at times, I still felt drawn to the characters and wanted to know more about them.

Overall, she is a competent story teller and artist, so if you love mysteries, do give this one a try! (The best part for me was the ghost ancestors! They were lively!)

I really liked it. It had an interesting and unpredictable plot. I love the fact that isn't a 'been-there-done-that' plot line. (at least it's a first for me) I truly recomend it! It has just the right amount of romance, with out getting rediculous and losing the storyline. It had funny, sad, intense and happy moments and will leave you with a very satisfying ending smile (lol no pun intended ;p) if you are after romance, strong plot and a happy ending, read this biggrin

Boring

I find myself struggling just to read this. The relationship seems rushed, the characters are bland/generic and the plot is a bit confusing and slow for a romance novel. Based on the author previous work and new work, we can definitely see that she adores strong female and male leads as shown in Midnight Secretary along with this one, but in this manga, the male character seems a bit weak and useless. It just feels like something is missing from this manga.

Could be better

If I had read this before MS, maybe I would have accepted it more easily, but I can't help compare it with the said work and even Barairo, which I also loved. The romance is so rushed and undeveloped and it's pretty much confused with pity. What I mean is, does she really love him or just pities him for his curse and his inherent death which she can impede. Plus why does he even like her, she mistreated him and pretty much abandoned him after what, a nightmare. I find the basis for this romance pathetic, I don't know if I should continue with this read, but I'll probably do so since it's sensei's work and it might still turn out ok.

Not that great like Midnight Secretary.

I have to admit that Midnight Secretary is one of the best josei I have read. And Ohmi Tomu is an expert in smut.

But what's the problem with Anata ni Hana wo Sasagemashou for me? The whole story. First, it is known that the author is making stories where the main focus is the romance between the two protagonists. She doesn't add anything complicated. Anyway, the main male character Yuzuki is in love with his childhood friend Seri and apparently their families decide to marry them up. Ok there, but Seri was never interested in Yuzuki. Of course she wanted to be an independent woman and marry whoever she wants. So I felt that
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
she decided to marry Yuzuki just to protect him cause of her powers since she valued her childhood friend. At least in Midnight Secretary, the characters relationship was more developed. Here it is just rushed. And ok, Seri ends up being in love with Yuzuki later but in a very rushed way.

As for the artwork, it is decent enough but the characters look like recycled versions of Midnight Secretary characters.
