Worth my time

Both the manga and anime(3 season) managed to deliver.
It started a bit slow in the beginning for me to get hooked because I don't like tentacles (it's weird you know) but eventually you will get accustomed to it and also the story progression will also get even better. The comedy was pretty funny. And lastly the revealation.. It was totally unexpected for me.
The 3rd male lead(I think) is my favourite. Ohh Karma kun~
Overall good manga. Recommend to check on both.

i dont read tentacle things, so years ago when i first saw this the cover wasn't very convincing. but i read the manga, and dang is my heart full. the plot was good (i'm also glad it ended where it did and wasn't super dragged out to milk profit). suffice to say, i love this manga (wont ever read any other tentacle manga though)

The Perfect Teacher Doesn't Exist... WAITTT!!!

I'm writing this review while I'm still bawling

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Koro-Sensei, a teacher that everyone adores is dead. Yes, he's death by the hand of his own students. That's why I'm bawling for almost 10 minutes now

The story is bunch of nonsense. Like, how a bunch of middle schoolers can do a killing to a super creature? They trained everyday,
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
and in the end, they even surpass a veteran mercenaries by the end of the manga. This is so ridiculous, but again, it's a manga that's already weird since the beginning. So I closes one eye and continued to read

Let's be honest, people read this because of Koro-sensei. He's the best character in the entire series. The first time he was introduced, I only see a perfect creature: Travel in 20 mach speed, a truly genius, nimble, but actually he has many weaknesses which makes him even more adorable. His past is... a tear jerker in my opinion.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
When Aguri died, I cried a little. An unrequited love of his, died in front of his own eyes. He's been through a lot, Aguri too. When he opens his heart, that monster-woman-abuser-arrogant-sore-loser, Yanagisawa shattered it all. I despise Yanagisawa so much! He's the one who make this sad thing happened. Also, how dare him hit a woman! The ending where he died because of the anti-sensei field is VERY unsatisfied. I wish him to suffer even more! He's the real monster in here, yet government just let him be. Disgusting.

I like this shounen manga so much, for one reason: the main character, Shiota Nagisa (who actually the MAIN CHARACTER of this series) is not a Gary-Sue like many of shounen mangas. For example: Naruto (used to love this manga, still do, but not that much anymore). He's a (stupid and hated by the entire village) loud noisy brat with actually full of potential since the very beginning of the manga. Everything good is all about Naruto: power from mysterious creature, sexy hot mom from some of greatest clan, sexy hot dad who was a great leader, SUPER ridiculous power ups, SUPER powerful Chakra (come on...). Remember who has this kind of pattern too? Hmmm.... I don't know... maybe almost 98% of shounen mangas main characters? But not with Nagisa, he's a humble character, a meek character till the very end. He doesn't stand out from the crowd, yet he's not actually weak, he has a great hidden talent, but it's not something he can boast every single time. His scores are not the highest. He has flaws which is good. I love how well written the character development of this series. It's all about team work! Nobody is perfect, they need to everything together to achieve their "goal". I even see Koro-sensei as the TRUE main character here.

Now, about their "GOAL":
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I don't know why his students wanted to kill him so much. Just for 1 billion Yen? Later it becomes 3 billion Yen. What is the meaning of money if I can have this PERFECT teacher? Yes, he said he wanted to destroy the earth, but at the end when we learned the truth, do you still want to kill him? Heck, I even NEVER want to kill him since the first time I saw him.

How I wish to have this kind of teacher for every single schools. Let's face it, the world education systems (minus Finland) are failing because of some incompetent lazy teachers (and also some pedo teacher). My teacher gave up on me when I got bad scores at math and she just deemed me as stupid and never look at me. What if I have Koro-sensei as my teacher? With his caring and nurture, I bet I can do better. Koro-sensei never forget nor abandoned his students. Look at Terasaka, that delinquent finally opens up to Koro-sensei and reached top 50 by the end of second semester. I also learn so many from Koro-sensei: as long as you never abandoned someone, they will never stray from you.

What makes me furious is at the end. The students of class 3-E divided into 2 groups: To save or to kill him. I instantly hate Karma and Rio Nakamura, especially at Rio. I already kinda dislike her since the beginning (I don't know why) and yet she said the first time she wanted to kill Koro-sensei. I literally hate Chiba and Hayami too for being the first one to choose to kill him. I hate everyone who wanted to kill Koro-sensei. This is ridiculous. Your teacher have been with you since the first time for almost a year now, yet you still want to kill him just because you think it won't be the same classroom anymore? He's the one who makes you smart and pull you from the dark, yet you still want to kill him. How ignorant and selfish of these little brats.... Without Koro-sensei, you are basically nothing. Drop outs! Losers! Do you still want to kill him? Oh hell no! I want to be with him for eternity if I could!

Well, at the end they decided to save him. Now, another ridiculous plot: they go to the space... well, again, I love Koro-sensei, so I closed one of my eyes again for the X times now. They then find out that Koro-sensei is not a threat at all if he drinks the potion Okuda makes. They should inform the government instantly, well, they did, but the shitty government will never listen. So they still carry the mission till the end. ARGGGGHHH!!! Because of those shitty government, our Koro-sensei.... is dead... *BAWL!!!!* Selfish governments just want a scapegoat. They never care the future for another generation of class 3-E, (Principal Asano won't do bad thing to HIS 3-E anymore, but there's so many schools in this world that need Koro-sensei) they just care about their own thing.

Koro-sensei never deserve to die at the first place. I never like bitter sweet or open ending, I wish mangaka did another route for this. I really wish Koro-sensei still alive to teach another generations, to see him get another chance for love (or maybe not because Aguri rocks!) and in the end just let him evaporates peacefully after 90 years. Is that too much to ask? His contribution is top notch, you know. He's also super cute and super adorable! Anyway, I cried too hard and my eyes are hurting me now. I will end my review here and started to cry again and live in a denial state for the rest of my life, thinking that Koro-sensei still alive and NEVER DIE!!

Overall: 10/10. Really recommended!!

Cried buckets of tears for the ending! Still, can't get over it but it greatly warms my heart. Packed with the right amount of action, romance, ecchi *wink* and comedy that I was immediately hooked when I watched the anime. It was short but bittersweet. I would have loved there to be more seasons!! 3-E will have a special place in my heart!

Can't wait to explore the manga 🙂

I wish he didn't explain the origin of korosensei, that whole part was bad and boring.

Even being nonsense it was a good read.

Nonsensical, but charming in its own way

Even as a fairly run-of-the-mill shounen manga about the power of friendship, it manages to create genuinely heartwarming scenes, however cheesy they are. The story's machine gun pace and humor are distracting enough to not give too much thought to how ludicrous the whole premise is. Unfortunately, the focus on such a large cast makes virtually all the characters undeveloped and they're for the most part superficial stereotypes. There's little backstory and development in the story, but the comedy and its pulling at the readers' heartstrings manage to cover for this.

Perfectly Written and Perfectly Ended

If you think this manga is a kind of manga that's just fooling around in every arc than you're wrong, there are not a single wasted arc, its like the mangaka have carefully planned what is going to happen from the start til the ending. this is a really completed series and it's not leave you a single mystery unsolved. so yeah, this is really worth reading. too bad it only have 180 chapters but like i said there are no wasteful arc so it's dense enough even for just a 180 chaps manga.

at the last chapter, chapter 180,,
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
before the rainbow page, from mach 20 scans.. (i checked it from mangastream too, but i think the one from mach20scans is the one which translated close enough; mangastream altered too much that the hidden hints vanished. no offense). the square bubble that Kaede said something.. if both her hands (that shined) in front of her hearts (which pierced), the 'life' she mention could mean 'her life'. But it's different if it placed there. and, knowing Kaede good at acting and looks like at that final chapter she is the one that drawn herself away from Nagisa.

it bothers me. it could be some hints.
over-all this is a good series.
