this twisted author can't write a good or normal story like why does her every manga has cheating and things like that? you know a person's writing reflects their image. 1/10 for this trash.

If you are not a veteran of shoujo or josei manga then don't read this. I don't know its because of Japanese culture or the degeneracy of Japanese mangaka, because their relationships are all a mess. But it's still very entertaining to me seeing them making a mess of their life.

Unlike most romance manga, which like to blend comedy, drop in nonsensical moments of drama no couple would experience or romance that doesn't even reach kissing until the final page of the final chapter, Scum Wish does something different and does it well. It takes the romance genre to a more realistic level, at least for the age of the characters and the country it's from. Plus, each character is extremely unique, well drawn and the best part is that the romance develops chapter after chapter instead of developing ones every 20 chapters like other romance manga. So this is an excellent work of art in my book.

The art was good, but the manga literally did not have a flow. One moment they’re in one location one moment they’re in another, then we’re in someone’s head then we’re in another persons head.

People could delude themselves and say this is a story of unrequited love or something deep. It’s more like a highschool drama with unlikable people who have nothing but flaws, and are always horny, who, I swear, have mental illness (schizophrenia?).

If you’re looking for a heartwarming story, this is not it. If you are looking for likeable characters, this is not it. If you are looking for redemption, this is not it. Instead you’ll find a story that explores the ugliest desires of our heart and how it manifests itself in our relationship with others.

As an adolescent, we all hear about romantic love but do we really know what it’s like to desire that kind of affection? How far will you go for infatuation? At what point in a relationship does love actually exist?

The characters aren’t warriors of justice. They’re flawed, selfish, immature, and do stupid things fueled but their desires. They don’t know how to properly share how they feel or manage their emotions. In these aspects, they’re brutally realistic. We all want a fairy tale love story, but ugly and painful feelings remind us we’re alive. This manga makes you sit with unpleasant feelings and many may not like it.

I tried to read this. I gave it a chance. It's nasty. This needs to have the romance genre removed because this ain't romance. It's just a bunch of mentally ill people fooling around with anyone they can get their hands on.

The ending was good but still not quite right. Kinda vague because we couldnt really see what happened to them after. Did they finally become happy? Or did all of that bs about letting each other go end up in vain? WE DONT FUCKING KNOW

I was searching for something exactly like this, that is well written.
My heart is breaking and throughout the stort, I felt I could relate and agree witb a lot of elements and ideas presented in this manga. Equally, the characters' stories left a lump in my throat, especially when they cry. Their tears portrayed such strong emotions....
And the ending was so beautiful. Highly recommended.

Unlike I guess a lot of other people, I really liked the ending. Maybe not the manga for you if you just want ships to happen. I think the relationships portrayed are done very well by the author because sometimes love is vague and those that seem undeserving of someone kind do. Relationships aren't perfect, cute, fluffy things that are often shown in manga.


The story is pretty twisted and a good bittersweet romance in my opinion. A lot of people hate on the teacher but she is there for a reason.

The art is also really good.
