Misleading.

Cover looks really promising, but this manga is not a series. Technically, it is, but the manga seems to be more like a prequel of some sort, except I don't think it ever really reaches anything close to a logical plot. The main problem is probably due to how short the manga is, as well as how disjointed the manga is. It seems like the author wanted to do two different(but related) story lines but couldn't decide which he liked better, so he just threw them both together. This might have been okay, but again, due to the limited length of this manga, this fails again.

Might be a bit better if this manga was continued though.

Art is pretty good; one can easily tell that many of the designs were KoF-inspired. Story-wise, it's like reading the prequel to some series...when you realise that's all there is to it, you feel nothing short of cheated.

Why the manga ended so suddenly?

Just when the manga is getting good and you are getting to know the characters, it ended...
Im wondering it ended because the author ran out of idea or the manga itself wasnt very popular. If it was the 1st case, why bothered publishing a manga if you are going to end it half-ass?

If you are really bored !!! and you don`t find another better manga, READ IT !!!
apart from that, It`s a real waste of time, this manga.
It`s pointless.
It`s better to watch the anime, at least it`s more logic.

Don't suggest anyone reading this... It basically ends RIGHT at the beginning, and what I mean by that is that when the story finally seems ready to begin (last chapter of Volume 2), everything ends.

Volume 3 is irrelevant storyline-wise, and Volume 1 + the first half of Volume 2 are confusing/disappointing, because the main character can't do shit.

Overall it comes with a good premise. The story is engaging and probably better than a whole lot of horror movies out there. Surprising, coming from this artist. Yet I am not too disappointed as horror really isn't this mangaka's slice of cake, although it was a interesting treat to read despite its shortness.

Read all three volumes and wound up pretty disappointed.

The first two volumes seem like they could be the beginning of a good series: you start getting to know the characters, they get more and more involved in the events going on around them, information about what's going on is gradually brought out, and then the story just stops at the end of volume two and leaves you hanging.

Volume three (Phantom Hunter) is a separate story about different characters. It's set in the same situation as the first two chapters, but it's not a continuation of the first story.

I'd probably really have liked this if the story continued from where it left off at the end of volume two, but as it is it's just frustrating: just as the story started to pick up speed and I was really getting interested in it, it just stopped and left me hanging..

Yeah yeah, it was too short but hopefully it will continue and so I don't think it's fair to give it a lower score if you disliked the "ending" but liked everything else about it. Great action, interesting plot, awesome gore and violence (if that's your thing). I love this mangaka's drawing style, his action panels are truly cinematic. And the reason why the style is "like" GTO is because it's the same artist. But it's the other way around with Death Note. It'd be better to say Death Note is like GTO and Tokko, because GTO came a good 6 or 7 years before Death Note..

What happened to the plot?

I liked vol 1 and 2 because they had nice character development, good comedy and I liked the character overall. Vol 2 ended with a big cliffhanger, but vol 3 didn't follow up and just told a parallel story with 2 other characters. Vol 3 wasn't very good in my opinion when compared to the first 2. So it disapointed me, I was always expecting to see the story get better and better, but nothing happened. No misteries were revealed and the plot wasnt developed. What happened to this manga?
I liked the art but I didn't like the way the action scenes were drawn, it's supposed to be so cool with the characters always smiling while they kick ass, that it doesn't seem like they are really fighting or that there's a chance of them losing. There's also no strategy. They just go and kill and it's done.

They'll probably continue this or make a sequel, I'll change my score when it happens. Unless the series was canceled..

Still a good quick manga to read.
