Good story

Maeda-sensei made a good a job. I was like having a heavy feeling and almost cried while reading. Just almost. The reunions and broke ups made it more interesting and very touching. I can say, this is one of the few yaoi manga stories that I can consider beautiful. Although I kinda don't like how the manga was drawn as well as the couple's personalities (honestly, they got on my nerves), the story overwhelmed everything that I have come to love it.

Actually, I was expecting a tragic ending, maybe looking something else. Anyway, I still like how it ended. Very good manga to read. RECOMMENDED.

Well, I didn't exactly like the first two volumes but when I read the third and fourth volume, I became attracted to the story! It was so...exciting! It leaves me wondering what might happened to this couple next. Gosh, and I thought Naoki is gonna die for sure! But come on, main characters don't usually die that easily right? So I can predict that much, like what's gonna happen next. Overall, it was fine but it's a little bit too long. It's like a story about a predator chasing it's prey. That's how I feel.

rape -> love?..a common cliche and nothing special but this manga is more than this cliche!! Its awesome, a bit too dramatic but still one of my alltime favourites and one of the rare kind that I enjoy reading again and again (just finished rereading it for the 6th time and thought a comment wouldn't hurt)

first of all the characters are great and the expressions on their faces (my heart started to hurt some times XD, too) are really emotional and make you feel with the characters

second...even trough there is a little to much drama the story is really exciting and I don't mind the cliches in Jazz..this manga is much deeper than the normal yaoi you find like ten a penny

anyway I can only recommend this one!

honestly, I put this onhold for months since the art is not really my cup to tea that time plus the drama it entails. After reading one of the works of the illustrator and eventually got accustomed to her art style, this is one deserves a praise. Although this is not the story of the illustrator, it is somewhat similar to her works. Emotions are depicted very well on the panels and the storytelling will really grip your heart while reading this. Sure, there are repeat instances of charas' actions but I think they are needed to portray the characters' development, otherwise we'll say the story is rushed. This work is pretty wellmade, so I advise that you read this if you are really in the mood for angst, drama, and forbidden relationship (doctor and patient). It is by then that you'll truly appreciate it.

Over and over again

Honestly, I don't think I've ever wanted to punch fictional characters more in my life. I can definitely say there is a LOT of drama. Be prepared for a story where the characters drag and throw you around like a rollercoaster. It never stops. It's one constant problem after the next, right to the very end where I was expecting a sense of release and calm, but no.

Main reason is Naoki, who is obsessed, rash, impulsive, doesn't think, and jumps to the worst conclusions every time. And these wrong conclusions are the pivotal points of changes in the story. It doesn't flow, it jumps here and there with the problems. Anyway, Narusawa at the beginning I loved, with his whole fake smile thing going on. But my opinion of him deteriorated pretty quickly. Typical case of love after rape. True he was scared and disgusted, but he just didn't take any action which I could've praised him for. So he's weak and fragile from his family situation, and what then? Nothing. He doesn't try anything except wallow in his sadness. Harsh, but someone needs to tell him to wake up and move on.

Jazz tries to incorparate some serious topics, like the whole taboo of a minor and a doctor relationship, but to me, it felt like it was skimmed, no real depth. Mainly, it was centered around "does he love me?" "do I love him" "is he cheating on me?" blah blah blah. Art was okay, average, not my favourite though.

Well, not my cup of tea, and left a sense of distaste in my mouth. I didn't like either of the main characters and I would've prefered a story on the side characters, mainly the other doctor couple in the hospital. They seemed more interesting, and I felt more connection between them through a few pages than the main two through 4 volumes.

Those who enjoy drama will probably like this. Probably.

I've read this one a few times, and I found myself thinking the same thing every time. Its just too long. It could have been shorter and accomplishes the same thing. But still good.

I read this on recommendation from a friend, and well...
I suppose it comes down to personal taste, but I felt there was nothing really original here at all. All the characters are well worn archetypes, and the plot was predictable as hell.
If you're looking for non-con, obsession and emotional blackmail, Koide Mieko sensei does a way, way better job.

I only finished 2 volumes before I got tired with the plot so this likely isn't that accurate at all.

Anyways, the plot is standard fare yaoi and so are the characters. However, what's refreshing is the amount of characterisation involved.

Yet at the same time, it gets fairly annoying since they tend to fight far too often and always end up in some "self-reproachment" mode.

The art: it's all right but I've seen far better. However, the mangaka really dedicated many panels to expressing the emotions of the characters(which btw, is somewhat reminiscent to some josei).

Yet the characterisation wasn't enough to keep me reading due to the very cliched plots, since I liked the portrayal of the depth of their conveyed love but not the characters themselves.

If you're looking for a quick read, this is for you, I guess.

I read this a while back but i still remember how good it was. They faced many obstacles but that young guy sure had guts and tried his hardest to make it work....soo great, the art was good too.

This story would have been so much better if it was SHORTER! I feel like the inevitable was just drawn out for as long as she could make it. It was a good plot too, just two books too long in my opinion. It's nothing completely original and neither character is different or unique. Granted after reading so much yaoi most characters sorta fall into the same types.

Could have better, but its not the worst thing I've ever read.
