True love

Innocent, boring and annoying story, but the way Icchan tries to give more confidence to Yuzu is amazing. This kind of true love and kindness, the true support that helps you to improve yourself is fantastic.

I have noticed it quite allot in manga, but this manga in particular was sexist, girls needing to be protected by men, even the most feminine of men protecting the manliest of girls. It definitely pinched a nerve. Otherwise is was boring, sweet and easy to read, but boring.

Very fluffy, great art, and in my opinion really good for a giggle! ^__^
I loved the uke from the main story; yes he considers his seme to be a "prince" thus making himself a "princess", but he's not annoying like other girly ukes. In fact I think he's adorable on his quest to becoming a perfect bride! XD He's so clueless (even about his relationship status with Icchan ^^ hah) My only complaint is that I would've liked to see more smut with these two as the art was so nice and their relationship was cute, but nevermind.
The second couple were also sweet, though I much prefer the main two.
Definitely not a deep plot for either story, with zero angst so if you want something with drama then this isn't it. It's not to be taken too seriously because let's face it, it is utterly ridiculous but this is a comedy after all and it does it's job well smile

So atypical it's hilarious

Yuzu is so extremely girly, and in a tall guy's body at that, that it's hilarious instead of annoying. I think it's great what Sakuragi Yaya did here. And when the manly female senpai comes in to play the 'prince' role with princess Yuzu, it turned into a really funny and original situation.

If it wasn't always passion, romance or drama, it was certainly interesting. The mangaka's creativity is greatly executed. I liked it! As I like all her stories! She always works completely outside the stereotype, and I'm really grateful that such mangakas exist biggrin

Even though the uke is so girly and his whole idea of wanting to be a bride is absolutely ridiculous to me I still find this story really sweet and endearing. And it's a good thing that Sakuragi made her uke look masculine and not childlike in appearance either. The mangaka's art is very well done and I don't think she's written anything i dislike yet.
Btw I'd so date that Hiiragi Senpai, she's so hot! And I wish someone would make me bento everyday.

To be honest, Yuzu-san (the uke) kind of ticked me off. It's all good and well that he wants to please his boyfriend, and make a good partner. However, it's always annoying to me when one of the guys takes on the "girls" role. They're both men, they both have dicks, no one is the f*cking girl in a gay relationship. (Excuse my bluntness, sorry) Also, if they're going to be high school students then at least Yuzu-san can act like one. His attitude resembles that of a fiver year old. Maybe that's part of his appeal?

That's not to say there aren't pleasant aspects. For one, Icchan-san is actually really cool. At least I think so. It's also nice how supportive all the school mates are in this manga, whereas in some they have really homophobic characters. Also, the art is lovely as usual and although one character ticks me off, I do like the overall story.

So if you can look past a single bothersome character, I would recommend this.

I agree with a number of reviewers, this was so cute and lovely. I loved how there was sterotype play. Yaya-sensei art as usually was beautiful, I can't get over her semes! They are handsome! The ukes cute and loveable. I'm glad I finally got a chance to read this, will be looking forward to more of Yaya-sensei work in the future. smile

Oh my, this was worse than expected.

From the first pages I already noticed that I've quickly switch to shoujo mode but I don't know whether it's because the characters are so extreme unrealistic or the more matures mangas I recently read are to blame, but this piece was a big disappointment.

One of the two main chars aims to be a bride, a princess for his beloved friend (at least he looks not girlish at all... though that makes it even weirder xD). That's a pretty weird wish for a guy his age, but the weirdest is the reaction of his surroundings.
While he got bullied as a child for not speaking the tokyo dialect in tokyo, everyone at his high school now seems to be fine with his behavior - even more, the captain of the karate club says things like: "Today for sure I'm gonna seduce you... erm... I mean I'm gonna get you in the karate club" while holding his hand in front of his "lover". *laff* Yeah right.
In what dimension and in what world please?
Other mangas raise exaggerated dramas from such a setting (which we call cliché then) and this one turns to the other extreme by completing ignoring reality.

Well the art was fine and the silly damsel of a main char was amusing too in some scenes.

The yaoi was not worth the tag and even quite unromantic and totally not intense (emotionally speaking).
After all, the first thing that came to my mind was a quote from Lina of Slayers saying "I like them big and stupid" while looking at Gourry XD And that echoed in my head till the last chapter.

It's the first piece I read from this mangaka, I hope her other works entertain me more.

Sweet

This is just a sweetly romantic and sure relationship. Ultimately, it's a bit boring for me because there was no big crisis or angst, but the natural feel of a couple that just belong together from birth won me over.

The intimate scenes were a bit disappointing in both the main story and the few one shots at the end, but overall, it was a light, easy-to-digest collection.

Her art, with all its sharp angles and expressive eyes sells me every time! I literally say 'awwww' at her illustrations of the big tall dopey uke.

Though I can't really say it's one of THE most amazing mangas ever created, I like how the author deconstructed a fangirl's image of a seme and uke (which leaves me to question how do we decide which is the seme and which is the uke?). I must admit that I was freaked out at first, but as I read further, it amused me and I can't believe it's completed?!
