Wonderful storytelling

I just couldn't help being enthralled by this manhwa! From the very beginning I was trapped in this narrative, completely and thoroughly caught up by this strange plot that was anything less than unexpected! The whole story is beautiful told, a tale thread together by twisted emotions.

Plot- A nameless knight trying to get back to his princess; this is the easiest way of explaining this story. But the plot quickly becomes much more intricate, many plot points are added and nothing is as it seems. The plot quickly thickens, and I could hardly stop reading! I just had to keep reading; I just had to know what would happen! The ending was just slightly confusing, but not terribly so. A sequel has been promised, one that will clarify the ending. But personally I believe that even without a sequel this story would still be enjoyable with its current ending.

True, it's confusing. But the gist of the story was that Odin was trying to escape his fate, was living many different stories that ran in order again and again and this life that we had been following was just another in a sequence, and how do we know the new nameless knight just wasn't another part of it all? Well... at least that's what I got!

Characters- So INTRICATE! I loved the nameless knight! His character development was AMAZING! It was very interesting to analyze his character, to see his motives grow and change and to see just how he changed as a person. He was very believable, and I couldn't help but be horrified, amazed, and touched by what I saw. I'm not saying he's a good model, but he is a GREAT character!
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
at the end it really was hard to tell just what part he played in the story; villain, hero? There was really no 'hero'...
The other characters were also very well rounded, though many are still shrouded in mystery. Who exactly are they? It doesn't need to be answered, but will be nice to find out in the promised sequel. By the way... Puginn is my favorite...

Art- Beautiful, one word that sums it up perfectly. The setting sets the mood perfectly, dreary with a sense of melancholy. The characters all have very excellent designs. Each panel is gorgeous and the flow of the whole work is just amazing! Read it just for the art!

Other- In the end... I really enjoyed this story. It's an excellent read just for the character development. I was so wrapped up in this story, waiting with bated breath as everything began to be revealed and unraveled before my eyes. It really is an excellent story of one man attempting to go against the 'fate' he had been dealt. With its end I would be satisfied (perhaps a page or two added for a teensy bit of clarification), but as it is we have a promised sequel and I just can't wait for that. This story is nothing light, and really... none of the characters are 'good', but the story telling is excellent and I recommend it just for that!

Long live Puginn! He totally should be the main hero!

9/10- Was Great

"You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain." This quote summarizes the plot of season 1 of this series. I highly recommend this work. You will not regret it.

Amzaing, purely an amazing piece of art. It's a story that has gorgeous artwork as well as an amazingly dark and tragic tone going for it. It's one of my favorites at the moment, and it leaves me craving for MORE MORE MORE every time a new chapter is released!

Edit: As I am done with this webcomic now, I am sad, and refreshed with what this story is about. I want to read the sequel, but I despise Odin, so yeah... =.= But I'm still going to read the sequel lols!

Ambitious.

This is an ambitious tale of devotion, revenge, and the inevitability of fate. I love it when it succeeds, but it's often really confusingly narrated, because its chapters and scenes aren't presented strictly chronologically.
Yet while it's a very uneven series, with some really confusing lows, this style also allows for some high points which just don't happen in, say, cookie-cutter shounen manga. That's why I rate this higher than it perhaps deserves - because it's *interesting*, which many manga just fail to be.

The series was last updated in 07/2014, so it may well never be completed. That said, its first, completed season ends, to my taste, at a satisfying point at chapter 32. While it leaves some questions open, it concludes *enough*. If you dislike reading series which may not get completed, I recommend you just read up to that point. Season 2 isn't as interesting anyway.

Read past chapter 5
by MatrixM

The first time I tried reading this, it was soooo freaking boring. It was norse mythology but in a really futuristic setting where almost everyone (as in characters that appear) is an artificial creation or enhanced or pilot a machine or something.
I tried to read it a second time because it was done by the same manhwaga as 'Wake Up Dead Man' which has some really freaking awesome drama in it. So I stuck to it for a few chapters more (I was supposed to be writing an essay, procrastination ftw >.>) and after chapter 5 it becomes interesting.

So if you 'try this out', read past chapter 5.
Some parts of it don't make sense. I mean the technology isn't explained at all. And 'Fate' seems to be more...tangible in here, or something. And one big 'twist' was fairly predictable, though that may just be because of foreshadowing. (Also the romance seems kinda random here, moreso than in Wake Up Deadman, but I let that go.)
Looking forward to the second season.

tl;dr Read past chapter 5.

Flawed, but interesting

The art is beautiful, the world is interesting, the plot is promising, and each arc of the story is well executed and paced, but the story overall is just a little too meta for the storyteller's current level of skill. I think this artist is someone to watch in the future!

And if you are an aspiring storyteller of any kind -- especially if you like deep intellectual twists -- reading this story will be informative about what it looks like to almost succeed at crafting an extremely complex story. I wish I had read it when I was first getting started as a writer.

The story is a cool retake on nordic mythology. It's really interesting though it is kinda short. The art is like something you'd expect to find in western comics and the story twists and bends everything. I enjoyed reading this and am looking forward to the sequel!

Art Like Blame + Better Romatic Elements

Great Cyborg punk and gritty art like Nihei Tsutomu's Blame. Great start too bad it seemed that the plot got rushed toward the middle with new characters introduced without much development before getting killed off. This guy is really good with atmosphere and am really impressed his main characters were so well writeen

I like the art and everything, BUT the one thing i can't stand is when the narration is more confusing than a swarm of flies, where you gotta guess which one is which.

I hope in the sequel he gets the narration done right, but im still fighting whether i should keep reading it or just leave it
