Unexpectedly good?

I usually hate it when the ML is a tyrant, but it balances out bc the FL is hilarious lmao. But, I still can't give it a 10 bc the ML sure is such a drama queen and confusing as hell. And the ending was such a disappointment.

Had me ROFL

Now this was one entertaining read, a perfect blend of comedy-drama. The story does get into complete melodrama at a certain point but you get so invested with the characters that it doesn't seem too drawn out. There were times when I recalled the manga - Mars, there were some psychologically heavy elements in the plot, none as strong as Mars but had the same tone.

I very much enjoyed reading this, albeit it was almost 10 years ago, I would be happy to pick it up again.

Disappointing

I had my hopes brought up cause after reading a great manhwa (H2O) someone in the reviews had said that it's inferior to this Manhwa and the ratings were also high so I started reading this. But it barely made me feel anything. The art is alright and I liked the start of Jae and Hyun Ho's relationship but I don't know about the rest. The plot is a drag to read... I love Nan-Woo, Jae, Hyun Ho and the mum's character but I can't say much for the rest....It's also weird how the other guy who supposedly like Nanwoo and was going to compete for her just suddenly dropped out of the picture...?I actually wanted to cheer him on more than Seung-Ha... The stories I think are really good are the ones that bring out my emotions, and this just didn't do that for me...

This is a must read for any fan of rom-coms. The art is really beautiful and the characters are fleshed out perfectly when taking into account the length of the manhwa, not to mention how funny it is. On a side note, while I'm ofc grateful to the translator, for all of vol. 6 you can pretty much ignore the 'T/N' as they're just annoying comments about the story-line.

Psychopath

I read the entire series just for Nan Woo, seeing as how the male lead was complete garbage.

He has:
- Hit her
- Insulted her
- Manipulated her
- Threatened her

How is this romantic? How is he even sane? The backstory he has is just an excuse given by the author to justify Nan Woo falling for a psychopath. Their relationship is unhealthy. Imagine if they were married... how would he act towards her? I think Nan Woo's mother would end up calling a Domestic Abuse Hotline. (And her mom is probably the only person seeing things as they are: "Forget about him. He'll hurt you over and over again. He's not worth your precious time or feelings." -Volume 5, Chapter 5, Page 5)

The best moment, in my opinion, was when he broke up with her (aka: released her from the clutches of his abuse)

I knew someone like the male lead before. A magnetic person mixed with 99% insanity/darkness and 1% kindness. I mistook the small kindness for her having a "golden heart deep inside" and got viciously choked and abused for it.

Manga with these kinds of damaging and toxic relationships make it seem acceptable and perfectly normal for abuse/rape/etc to happen.

Rating of 3 for Nan Woo, her mom, and the art.

(Also would like to point out that he never shows remorse, not even ONCE, for how he treated her)

It had me laughing throughout the whole thing, I liked the characters personalities they were very refreshing for me. I can't really say anything bad about it. I felt everything was explained well enough and the story was very good. Also the art was a bit weird to me at first but i grew to love it as well. The ending kinda gives you a bittersweet feeling, but it ended nicely.

One of the best Shoujo Mangas/hwas - emotional, hilarious, heartwarming!

I love the artist and her other work (Yaoi) The Summit so I gave this series a read as well... what can I say, it's brilliant!
Everything about it is great.... the art style is unique and beautiful, the chibi/SD/comedy characters are soooo funny as well as her sense of humor... oh my God, her humor is AMAZING!
This manga made me laugh so much, but it also has it's share of drama and tragedy, sad and deep chapters, a lovely little slice of life story and perfect characters!
You just gotta love Nanwoo the main character, her happy-go-lucky, overly clumsy but strong way of life and how she manages to capture the heart of the spoiled, bratty and egoistic prince Seung Ha!
I also just love the pacing... it's slow, it's realistic, it takes a while for them to open up, to get closer and all that... in the end you are left with a somewhat melancholic but generally positive and happy feeling!

The only negative point - and this one is not about the manhwa itself so I wouldn't take any point off at all - is the scanlation! The first 33 chapters or so are perfect - the scanlators did an amazing job, but then another translator takes over and it goes down the drain. The scans are bad but what's worse is that every other page has a Translator's Note, some even have two, which say things like 'Yes you are!' 'Duh, go to the shrink obviously!' 'Uh I wasn't aware this was a gore manga!" ' Uh I wasn't aware this was a BL manga either!' and so it goes on and on and on.
Worst translators ever, sorry. Nobody cares about your personal comments.
--> If you get the chance, buy the official books, you won't be disappointed!!

It was a nice read

The thing I loved the most about this manga was the consistency, except for Seung-ha's growth and maturity everyone stayed the same. Nan-woo stayed the clumsy and crazy girl she was from start to end. This was like a drama with many episodes, there were times I was laughing out loud and others where tears were in my eyes. The art was okay but the story line made up for what it lacked in my opinion. It was a good and quick read, I recommended it!

if you like that sm-stuff than go ahead, otherwise you could have a hard time ignoring the stupid plot and the jerk malelead. This Manga tried to have depths when it comes to painful backgroundmemories but was shallow when it comes to everything else.. like love. But who cares about that in a shojo?

I really like the main chara, nan-woo is sooo funny. She's not annoying, not cliche, a rare kind main chara in shoujo manga. fufufu~
I think seung-ha is not cool, he's twisted =_________=; the title really doesnt suit at all.
but it's a good manhwa, really like it >.<
