The first two chapters are really cute and worth the reading. The second ones are just for those who likes Ashihara style or just want simple shojos.
The first story feels bittersweet, but I like the atmosphere similar to Sunadokei: Summer, Ocean, Town, Friendship.
The second story is really cute, specially since it can be considered a typical shojo, there is something new and interesting in the relationship of the characters. Simple and really happy.

It's a little deep and more in-depth than most, but definitely could be better-especially the side stories! The main was a really good analysis of human nature but the ending, though slightly depressing, was realistic and satisfying, though a little open. An enjoyable read.

me, i like happy endings. if i want to spend my time reading a manga, i expect it to reward me with happiness. however, i absolutely love the first story. it is not what one used to, but it is realistic in a good way. i like the character development, from a bright cheerful child to a moody teenager with a cross to bear. i like the unexpected addition in the love triangle, i seldom see that in my reading. it does not have a happy ending, but it have a good ending - they resolved their past and try to make a new future.
the other stories are also good, with great characters that actually have personalities - they are not vapid angels, always fill with good will, but girls with that can also feel hate as well as love.
it is a good manga. a step up from the usual fare, a step in the right direction.

What's with the main story?! How could the main protagonist not ending up with the person she likes?! Not to mention that the dude she likes ends up with someone else?! Man, I hate crappy endings like this. Okay, so what if she ended up with the another guy instead? What exactly happened between them? Does she even like him anyway? Even though he comforted her and travel with her? Honestly saying, it makes no sense and I won't give a high rating for a crappy manga with a crappy ending. At least I gave it a 4 for the other stories instead. Hmph!

Well, Ashihara-sensei mostly do good jobs and I really enjoyed reading Chouchou Kumo. It was really touching I think. The second one was to childish for my favour. It's not what I expected of Ashihara. The third story seemed to be a kind of clueless Shojo-thing with a middle-schooler with HUUUGE breast but in fact, Ashihara tried to show that this is a hard thing for those girls, I think. The last story is the same. It seems like a mainstream story about a pupil-teacher realtionship but the author put some... "eagerness" in it with some special aspects (to call it by the name: serious problems at home wuth violence).
Plus I adore her drawings. This one was ok compared to her other ones.

i think the second story is actually really funny...=-)
the girl is such a creeper and a bit annoying, but i think that's what makes the story really appealing. i mean, come on! who treasures a pencil lead from the person they like! anyway i thought all the stories were good. GO ASHIHARA HINAKO!

I dint really like the first two storys. i only read those two.
I taught the first one was going to be really good beacuse of people here saying it was but honestly its not, it ended with you thinking what happend. it was to fast.
The second story also its obvious they ended up going out but who knows if they break up or what leaves you thinking alot.

yeah, i dont like the main story, it makes me depressed. its not supposed to be sad or anything, but i feel like it kinda reassures some generalizations that i dont want to be true.

The first story was by far my favorite. One of the best oneshots ever. It was really touching and so realistic. I would've given it a 10 if not for the other oneshots that were a little disappointing.
