Loved the first story

I wish I could rate the two stories separately!!!! >~< I loooooved the first story, but the second story was quite annoying, I guess. The uke was the one who pursued the seme, but in the end, the uke doesn't really know how to express his feelings properly, thus their relationship looked like the seme was the only one who's interested with the uke and was the only one chasin after the uke. So ehhh I don't really fancy the second story so much.

It's really easy and refreshing to read. Something that will give ou a light feeling. Te characters are great too but I guess I would like it better if there's a better plot. Anyway I still recommend this

Yamada Yugi still remains one of my favourite BL mangakas even to this day because she is consistently great and rarely disappoints. I could always go back to her works and savour them from time to time, this manga is no exception. While the story didn't have much to raise interest it's the whole way of telling it that captured me deeply. And her art while have changed considerably compared to her old days still maintains its high quality without being flashy, you could say it's almost very realistic and down-to-earth, an authentic feel that people could relate to. This is a very fine piece indeed.

Very good

First story- Loved it, it had all the ingridients that I liked and that slice-of life feeling only Yamada yugi can make me feel.
Second story- This had huge potential to be really good, instead it felt rushed and shallow. I would´ve liked to have the characters sort out their feelings more. Then maybe it would feel more real.

This manga definitly belongs to one of my favorits, I´m just rating it a 9,5 because of the ending of the second story. If it would´ve been better this would definitly be a 10 for me.

I love this mangaka's work. The only issue I have with her is that sometimes it takes a little to get into the stories. But once you do, it's like watching a film or something unfold. It's kind of beautiful.

I love this story. It has kind of a slow pace, but it suits it. The characters and their interactions, while not innovative, are executed in a wonderful way. That's what makes it seem so unique - not what happens, but how it happens.

I like that the uke isn't a 'woman' like in a lot of male x male stories. He's a guy. A different kind of guy than his boyfriend, but still a guy. They're more like partners than the traditional male x female arrangement of the carer and the cared-for characters. Neither is weaker - they complement each other. THAT is the reason I like reading gay love stories - I have a much better chance of finding an equal couple. And that's what this author delivers. (2011)

UPDATE: I've reread this now three years later (2014), and I still definitely love it. I think it's my favorite ever. I can't put my finger on it exactly, but even though I love a lot of other stories (and many by this author), I still think this one is the one that I like best out of every manga I've read. <3

One of my favorites by Yamada-Sensei<3

I'm a hardcore fan of Yamada-Sensei's works. Really, my completele yaoi collection is full of her manga. She has this way of making her characters come to life that keeps you enthralled in the story and keeps you wanting more.

Kusaka and Iijama are no exception. They are two complete opposites that claim their love for each other and unlike with some yaoi manga, you can see the honesty in their love.

It was a fun ride to see how their relationship grew against the obstacles with some agnst and a lot of comedy thrown it.

It's definitely a refreshing read and one of Yamada-sensei's best so I strongly recommend it. ^_^

This was just about average. The plot could have been kind of cute, but it just ended up being bland, shallow and a bit boring. It's quite an accomplishment for one to get bored while reading a 1 volume manga, but I did with this one. Read some of Yamada Yugi's other works, this one isn't her best.

I really liked this! Actually, I really like Yamada Yugi in general so maybe I don't need that exclamation point but whatever.

I really connected with Yusaka, his confused emotions, and his love of books. His meandering contrasts so nicely with Iijima's head on approach to things. Inaction vs. reaction, a little bit. I really loved the layers of their story that kept being revealed slowly. Romatic, hot, and totally re-latable.

I sorta enjoyed the relationships and relations within this manga but I also enjoyed the Czechoslovakian traits within this story. I can't say for sure but I think Leo Holan was partly based on Vladimír Holan. Too bad I can't be that sure either about the Japanese writer who was mentioned towards the end of the story.
