i absolutely adore this manga, and chie shionohara is one of my fave authors!!

It's a tragic/melodrama kind of manga, enjoyable for shouju lovers. The historical aspect gives it a plus, although the super heroine act is too unbelievable especially because she's 15, who knew that girl that age could handle armies? It's long, but no too long and hard to find in good quality unless you buy it. It has three side stories, not just one. Check Wikipedia for that. So, do I recommend it? He, why not? It's worth a read if just because you'll learn some history too. Just beware, there are main characters death, lots of love triangles, and a power-craze queen. Although good drama, it can get emotionally exhausting, but for some reason the story rarely loses momentum.

Be prepared! I'm warnin' ya! This manga isn't all bubbly and cliched but intense and beyond genius!

One thing that I loved was the heroine ,she was ruthless,kind-hearted,humble, she is truly a gem. Not ur typical shoujo manga heroine eh?
The male lead was awesome as well, it made me feel that he was romeo,unable to live without her ahhhh the feels~
I also loved the fact that the heroine enchants anyone she meets, and there you have it! It's turned into a reverse harem!
Even if u don't like historical manga, perhaps give this one a go! U won't regret the 90+ chapters!

I loved this book!!!! The story plot was AWESOMENESS, though the beginning is kind of weird..... Anyways if u like stories with ROMANCE and ACTION then u would like this story.

What I don't like is only one. Shinohara-sensei didn't wanna to write about Yuri's family which she left behind. At least sensei could tell a little about their condition. I'm so curious how they manage their life after Yuri went missing...

I enjoy the story. The girl seems to be trapped in another time but is saved by a prince of the area and the two fall in love with each other eventually. Yuri can't decide if she wants to return to Japan or stay with Kail for eternity, but in the end makes the right choice. The thing that bothers me is that alarmist as soon as Yuri and Kail are together an things are peaceful, something bad happens (usually caused by Nakia). I do like the love between Kail and Yuri and find it endearing to see them so committed to each other and worried about each other when they are apart (cause normally something bad happens when they are apart). It was a decent read that kept me wanting to know what would happen next. And, it seems Yuri and Kail are together and happy for a short before something happens that splits them apart. Then, something happens to Yuri later on in the story that makes me sad to see because Yuri worries about what Kail will think when he hers about what happened to her. There are just moments, like that, that tear my heart up to see happen.

This is an awesome manga,hands down in my top 10 easily, if not in my top 5.
I have never found another one even close to being similar to it, so if anyone has suggestions that are simmilar to this manga, not necessarily in plot but in the lovers aspect, and is reading my quick review, I would love you to mail them to me through this website!

I fell in love with this series the moment I started reading it. Now, I read it over and over, and I never get tired of reading it. It's my all time favorite. The best historical-romance manga that I've ever read. I recommend this to those who like to read historical-romances with princes and royalty.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

the only flaw I found was that at the beginning, Yuri's character was so weak that I couldn't see her being fit to stand with kail, but that is quickly resolved. A wonderful story, with no flat characters

I admit the plot was good, it was very exciting and sometimes the suspense was really heart-thumping, i also liked how the heroine matured over time, as at the beginning she was very annoying but she grew strong and smart. The other characters and even the tragedies were also a good mix to the story..

But by around the middle of the whole story, it was redundant already. I'm talking about the evil queen's ploy to ruin the heroine's future. Sure at the beginning it was interesting how the queen's always one step ahead of them, but it got tiring how it's always the same. I know she's the main antagonist of the story from the moment the story began, but that was the problem. She wasn't some sort of powerful magician, the prince was equal to her in terms of magic; she was also a powerful queen but that has its own equivalent (king, duh); and that was why it was redundant. The antagonist wasn't that powerful enough for the story to continue on for so long.

But the last confrontation was a good twist, thus also the ending.
