Having no experience in romance, the vibrant Ninako curiously explores the meaning of what "love" really is, and is surprised to feel a colorful range of emotions as she grows closer to the school heartthrob, the quiet yet gentle Ren, who also happens to be involved in a longtime relationship. With every intention of keeping her head held high, Ninako prepares to face the mental pain of this one-sided love that she had allowed to take root, facing a series of trials that would either contribute to her growth as a headstrong woman, or break her as it did with other girls.

However, is this really a one-sided love? Or had something been silently sown in the most hidden part of Ren's heart?

Volume 2 contains the side story Another Light about how Ren and Mayuka first met.

Volume 5 contains the side story Unfinished Map about Ren and Andou's friendship in middle school.

Volume 6 contains the oneshot Colourless Dreamer, which is unrelated to the main storyline.

Volume 7 contains the side story Wishing for Yesterday about Yuu and Sayuri's past.

Volume 10 contains a side story about Manabu's love.

I've never felt so strongly...

About a manga and its characters before. I mean, I will like, dislike, love, and gush over characters (especially the men bigrazz) but Strobe Edge has this very humane quality to it that makes me love it so much. It's such a pure love story...a very true love story...about the complications of liking another person that's already in a relationship. I think this is one of the few manga I've read where the heroine is actually the "enemy" in some sense. In many manga, the heroine and the guy get together and then another girl will appear (whether it be old friend, never met before, or ex-girlfriend) and put their relationship in trouble. It's interesting to read from the viewpoint of an innocent girl trying to understand what it is to love someone and how to cope with it smile. I'm so happy with this work.

i love this, the feelings are so true. I'm just up to volume two and i feel her pain. She's not stupid, although at first i thought she was, but rather she lack the knowledge of love. It's so fun reading it. The adventures of finding your feelings, I mean usually shoujo's focus more of the romance, this one focus on the feelings of the heroin. How her feelings evolve her character and the characters surrounding her.

I thought this was going to be one of the generic shoujo stories... and really, I guess it is but this is the first time I've ever wanted to root for the not-main guy to get the girl. It's also the first time in a long time that I've been so absorbed in the characters... Good Luck Andou!

Don't hesitate to read this one!

It seemed generic shoujo for me, so I mostly skimmed the first few chapters. It gets much better after the confession, and I started to like Ninako because she doesn't go shoujodramaweepyness. She's still a bit of a bubblehead, but acts like a realistic person.

the summary really threw me off (like ew.. looks stupid with an annoying girl), but after coming across it a couple times, i decided to give it a try and actually enjoyed it. It's really not what i expect it to be until it gave a slight twist in the 2nd or 3rd chapter. It really does get good and i have high expectations in the incoming releases.

It starts bad but gets much better. I don't like the..erm..puffy(?) lips on the heroine, but the writing makes up for it. Right now I really can't make my mind up about which guy is better (minus the childhood friend, I don't really like him).

I gave this a try, since my friend recommended it, that's all.

It was really like a typical shoujo, and it was driving me nuts the whole time of how much of an idiot Ninako was. I would understand if she was in five-year-old, but she's already a high schooler.
I can already see the triangle forming from the first chapter. Those girls she's friends with are also annoying, how they admire the cool and gorgeous guy that they'll probably never talk to until something miraculous always happen to get them to meet somehow.

Also, it's a normal high school romance, just with another idiot lead.

I read ch1, expecting your typical shoujo romance, and honestly... the plot isn't anything spectacular: just your usual high school happenings... girl likes boy, another boy likes girl, etc etc. However, the way this manga's delivered is quite wonderful. There are many scenes that I find particularly clever (i.e. the end of ch9, when Andou points at Ren).

As long as this doesn't turn into another Parfait Tic, I'll keeping this in my current favorites!

I would've prefer if this manga has a Josei feeling towards it. The main character looks and act so immature (to me, at least) that I feel unsympathetic towards her. If the mangaka created a mature heroine that is at least in her 20's, I would've continue reading it. I find it weird how she resembles their little baby sister more than a love interest.

All mangas should have at least one character that you like and one character that you dislike. I don't like or dislike any of the characters. I'm neutral. In other words, I don't care if she end up with Daiki, Ren or none at all. It's first love, she'll get over it. As for the art, it's beautiful. My only complaint is the lips. Why do they all plump up their lips (whatever you call it)? Even the boys do that! Lol.
