Read further than the art. Besides it get better and better. Just read it you'll learn to love it seriously I can't get enough it's like rofl all the time xD

Have never laughed so hard in my life. EVER. Literally about one laugh every minute. I had to take breaks because it hurt. Oh man, that's an amazing manga.

A must read manga with a very good (while obvious) message. Also, the ending is perfect, since it's basically a manga about something that could've definitely occured in real life, so the manga in theory, just like real life, should have no specific ending.

Wow, once again, hilarious. You kind of feel bad for him in the beginning though, he's just so awkward and misunderstood ^^.

edit: Also, art gets really amazing towards the end of the manga, because after all this IS drawn by the same guy that did Claymore.

To all people who say that the art sucks: you suck. no no, i admit, the art - if thats what you really look for in a manga, in the beginning may turn you away, but really, it gets a lot better in the end. in fact, some would even argue that its nice to see the evolution of the mangaka as an artist.

as far as i am concerned, this manga is one of the best ones out there. the story is nice, the characters are lovable, and is far too short for its worth. its a shame that not a lot of people know this manga...

so yes, this deserves a 10

oh yes, and i was saving this comment for last: this manga... is funny. and by funny i mean: actually capable of making you laugh out loud, which i find is rare in mangas. yes, i know, there are mangas out there which can make you giggle once in a while. but seriously, there are jokes in here that, after you read it, youll find a smile plastered on your face for an absurdly long time. or maybe thats just me

I, like many, was probably repelled by the weird -looking art...and the seemingly stupid and lame story. So i hesitated once, but decided to try again because of the increasing positive reviews.

Since i hardly read Shounen, the art needed a couple of chapters to get used to...but after a while you see that its actually pretty good! (I think Kitano actually looks less scary towards the end)

- It contains like a series of short stories about the characters and the funny events that occur in Hekikuu town. The humour gets a bit repetitive (a bit like Ranma 1/2)...There were some hilarious LOL moments but not throughout the entire manga. Imho, i thought 'Pretty Face' was funnier.

- The characters grow on to you and are very lovable. The ending left me feeling happy and content.
A very enjoyable and light -hearted read.

I've avoided reading this manga for quite a while, despite seeing so many positive reviews all over the place. The description just sounded so stupid, and the art looked horrible. But I am so so so glad I finally decided to just try it out. Seriously, this is THE funniest manga I have ever read. Period. It can't be described in a short summary. It's just...genius. I was falling out of my chair laughing, literally. Just...try it. You'll get hooked. Believe me.

I'm at about page 60 of the first volume or so, but damn, this's some funny shit.
Of course, I can't give a rating to it yet, but this is so fricking funny, I just HAD to post a comment here.

This is the only series that made my eyes water due to laughter. However, after awhile the main character's stupidity and the repeated jokes get boring.

I first saw it as some wierd manga at the beginning with such scary looking hero...but it was hilarious to the end and the action was simply amazing. The story developed great and so did art.....I'll give 10 to this manga....right now reading clamore of mr.yagi its awesome too. Great mangaka I would say.

It kept going for too long. And even though the ending was well worth it, somewhere after book 7 or 8, I kept reading at a fast pace because I was interested in how good he'd get at drawing before the end. The improvement (From 1 to 15) is even more extreme than Flame of Recca, and while the art never gets nearly as good as Recca, it was very enjoyable at the end - the two-bit sidestory between vol. 14-15 was incredible.

It gets a seven for growing tedious, and an extra point for having those moments when I actually laughed out loud, which is rare.

this is a really good read and it holds a deep meaing in it story, it funny the art is really good but i hate how ppl judge without reason/understanding in this manga must read
