it wasn't great i dont know that kind of guy doesn't appeal to me i mean he's so mean that kind of abuse isn't something a girl should be put up with if it were me i'd sue him for 'violence against women' i just dint know how you can put up with a person that abusive treatment

Im so upset..i read the spoilers... I CAN'T BELIEVE THE ENDING...man i dont even feel like continuing if thats how its gonna end....im really dissapointed....ok when i wrote that i thought i wanted her to end up with her someone else, but after like ch.52...the idea of them together kind of weirded me out..alot...and its only kind of sad and dissapointing what "someone"decides to do and y...but other than that it is descent...UNTIL THE LAST PAGE...I ORDER YOU..GAH....lol...bossy...but he seems like he's nicer towards the end...maybe...and maybe it hints at "they" will be together in the future..lol he he he

Hot Gimmick is a manga about a naive, indecisive girl who suddenly has four boys (who all could do a lot better) crawling all over her. The heroine's annoying qualities made the manga painful to read, while all of the plot devices came out of nowhere and were incredibly cliched. (Stepbrother falling in love with you, family affairs, revenge... etc.)

Oh, and it needed to end after the first four volumes

allriigghhttt. - this story is pretty good! it got me 2 really wanna finish it. its not as bad as ppl say.. duno why ppl r saying its SO BAD or smthin cuz its not. Its a pretty good story but i do understand why some ppl got angry. haha. the ending was okay.. but i did expect better PLUS it said SMUT but it doesnt show in DETAIL =P nyahaha im so dirty =P.

I really had high hopes for this serie ,but it disappointed me BIG time. First volumn was great, fast pace and fun. And that's about it. I found the rest of the serie extremely draggy. I wish there were more to it, plot wise. It was just silly. Seems like she can fit all the stories into one volumn, if she takes out all the unnecessary things. I feel like it's a waste of my money, cuz i bought all 12 volumns...

To be honest, I love and hate this manga at the same time. >.>'

It has a very interesting storyline and very amusing characters. All the characters have their own depths and it's really entertaining to watch their actions and reactions.
And I hate the ending. >.>' The author didn't really tie all the loose ends. Like Azusa's revenge. How he deals with his life after that. AND WTF, Shinogu becoming a.... monk.

T_T All in all, this manga is great in terms of storyline. The characters are really interesting, but sometimes they piss me off. And the ending... bleh. So I am giving it a 7.5. >(

I liked it. I mean, it was very very different from other manga out there, the main character was a dimwit, and all the guys around her were either assholes, or uhh... related to her. I found it good fun that there was no 'perfect' canidate for her to choose from. I mean, everyone that is twisted, is twisted for a reason, and even though that doesn't make what they do okay, it's still nice to have some reasoning in there. Hatsumi is just so... nice to the point of stupidity that everything that happens to her makes me sort of laugh (though while I'm reading I'm always really think that she needs to hurry up and shank someone). It's not a perfect love story, and I enjoy that. Hatsumi's probably attracted to Ryoki cause, as you can see whenever she isn't around him, she has no idea what she should do about anything, very indecisive, and Ryoki orders her around, so she knows what to do.
In all truth, I liked the side story about Hatsumi's sister and the otaku more than anything else, cause the otaku's so awesome. XD
I think this is anything but boring.I've never heard anyone say 'hey look this has rape in it, gang rape in it, adultery, how boring...' o.o; The characters are interesting, and the story isn't a regurgiated formula, so it might be an aquired taste. If your not willing to try, go back to your genericness (which I also read, so it's not an insult. <3).

This manga overall was really good. But i had to agree the heroine was really weak. T: [: Hot Gimmick S is coming out ^^;; hopefully it'll satisfy the not satisfied readers. XD and for readers who liked shinogu. ^^

My expectations were not to high with this one but I decided to give it a chance anyway, as I have been suprised before. Sadly, as I thought, this was a huge letdown and I barely got through the first half before giving up. As many people have already said, the main character simply puts up with to much abuse and dosent stand up for herself, or rarely if at all. The main character, Ryoki is to abusive, which in my opinion leaves a bad impression.

Can't for the life of me figure out how this was licensed.

This manga could have been good but the heroine is simply too weak.The lead guy is abusive(verbally) When will mangaka learn there is an destinct difference between dominate Alpha personalities and just plain abusive?And the twist with the brother *Rolls eyes* It was so not needed. In the end this manga just doesn't cut it.
